Really a great place that I should visit more often. The dining room is cozy with lots of tables and a bar area. We tried the artichokes and mozzarella sticks for apps. Had steak salad, ravioli, Shrimp and gnocchis for dinner. Everyone loved their meals and appetizers. Waitresses are all friendly and efficient.

Great neighborhood bar and restaurant. It's one of those places that I would drive past and wonder why I haven't checked it out. I did not expect to see a full menu . Steaks, seafood, pasta dishes, sandwiches, and plenty of great appetizers. The dining room is quaint and relaxing. Their bar is in the middle part of the large dining room and has just the right amount of lighting to balance the bar against the dining room setting. We ordered filets on both of our visits and were very pleased with the quality of our meals for the prices that we paid.

We called at 8 and online it said they close at 9. The woman said they close at 8:30 on the phone so my husband said never mind we don't have to order it's no big deal. The woman on the phone insisted it was fine so he ordered and quickly went to pick it up. When he arrived he said the staff was not friendly what so ever. They seemed very irritated he was there. Then the food it self was practically inedible. We ended up throwing it all away. I ordered veal saltimbocca and the meat was tough and nothing like any veal I've ever had. Also it was supposed to have prosciutto on top but it was topped with a slice of lunch meat ham. It was all so bad. Would not recommend.

Forth Street in Youngwood, PA, doesn't look like much these days. King Coal is gone and what was a thriving company town is left with declining population, struggling businesses, and young people who want to be the next ones to leave. Yet, if that was all you saw, you would be missing what is happening just out of sight. A few pioneers have moved into the cheap houses and started small businesses or begun working in others. Amazingly, while all this urban evolution has been happening, one or two of the original shops have persevered and even thrived. One such is Nobile's Italian Restaurant on 4th Street. I learned of it word of mouth while spending a night in Mt. Pleasant. I asked the innkeeper for a recommendation off the grid and she came up with Nobile's (pronounced, "Nobel's"). The drive up to Youngwood through Ambrust, takes about 15 minutes, but a bit longer in the snow that was falling. Over hill and dale at night was a small challenge, but I made it and found street parking right in front of the house. Didn't think the place would be crowded after that, but walking in it was almost full. Quick look around was a blast from the past. Attractive small dining room, dim lights, white table cloths, paintings of Italy on the walls, Christmas carols in the background. I took a stool at the bar in the back room. The menu was full of Roman standards and a few specials. The servers were friendly and informative, and I got plenty of attention as the only patron at the bar. I ordered Stuffed Banana Peppers as an app. First bite and I was smitten. The sausage filling was excellently spicy, chunky and locally sourced. Hot damn! Impressive! Rolled Eggplant & Chicken Marsala came next, with sides of pasta, one with red gravy and the other aglio olio. The nightshade was thin cut, rolled up with fresh mozza. It was tender and tasty, on top of spaghetti and drowned in excellent red sauce - a hint of salt and basil on the tongue. It was very good. The marsala sauce was a heavy red wine infused cocktail with fresh mushrooms abounding. Enough big pieces for spearing with every morsel of well pan sauteed chicken cutlets. Sucked it down with relish. The companion garlic & oil pasta was the right counterbalance in flavor and texture. Loved it all. It was one of the finest marsala renditions I have had the pleasure to meet. Was it perfect? That would be asking too much, even for two nights before Christmas. The bread basket needed a crusty loaf for sopping up the various juices on the plates. It was good soft skin dough, but not killer. Too, the bread pudding didn't move me. Still, on this night of discovery in this snowy back mountain town, Nobile's was a meal to remember.4.5 STARS!

Well, hubs and I have made it to 44 years of so-called wedded bliss and we wanted to have a nice dinner out, but not go to one of the pricier, fancy places. We did that last year and the experience wasn't worth the cost or aggravation. Also, we wanted to avoid the chain restaurants. Nobile's was a perfect choice. Even though it is located in Youngwood, on route 119 heading south, one could easily pass it by. It is in a small building beside residential homes and other small businesses. Parking is along the street and one has to be careful exiting and entering their car as traffic may be extremely heavy at times. We were greeted and seated immediately by our server. She told us about the dinner special and took our drink order. We ordered fried zucchini strips as an appetizer. I choose the meat ravioli with side salad; while husband picked the veal saltimbocca, twice baked potato and chicken noodle soup. The service, the food, our drinks, exceeded our expectations, especially when we compared it to last year's disappointing time. This was our first trip here, but I am sure we will return. Seating is limited and it may be best to call for reservations.

Had dinner here on Wednesday evening and they were very busy! It's a small local place so if you are expecting ambiance look elsewhere but if you're looking for good homemade Italian dinners then you'll be happy. Lasagna looked very good and can say the Italian sampler was huge and the braciole was excellent. If you're In Youngwood I'd highly recommend.

A nice little restaurant in a small town. The place is not usually over crowded and offers your typical American Italian foods. The wait staff is friendly and do a good job keeping drinks and bread on the tables. The prices are average to high for this type of restaurant. They place is a little dim light for my taste and doesn't seat a lot of people but they do pack the tables in. Their deserts are very nice and ask what is local made and not frozen. I recommend stopping by and trying some of the specials.
