It was my first time here and I thought it was just wonderful. Great vibes, quick service and large delicious, fresh tasting portions. There are veggie options and a nice sized menu as well. I recommend Nicky's Thai Kitchen on Mt. Nebo Rd. In North Hills, PA.

We have been to the Western Ave and Penn Ave locations and tried this location for lunch today in the North Hills. The ambience, service and food taste is great, same as all their other locations. We love Thai food and to have this gem in our neck of the woods is wonderful. We sat in the garden and were transported to an exotic place. The hostess and server were feiendly and efficient. We had a party of 3 and they catered for a gluten allergy and also a vegan with ease. You jave to tey this place for authentic Thai atmosphere and food.

Always a fan of Nicky's. Great food and friendly service. The music is a bit loud, but it's tolerable.

As always, Nicky's does not disappoint. I've been to each of their locations, and the quality is extremely consistent. Friendly, quick service and a team that also lets you sit for as long as you want! We sat on the patio, and it was sooo nice. Just such a nice atmosphere. Road noise is a little loud and so was the fountain actually, but not too distracting. We ordered crab Rangoon, pad see ew and the pumpkin curry. Everything was delicious, fresh, and portions are great. I'm a lifelong cu

I've been to Nicky's many times, but have never eaten at this location. We went with a group of 6 and had an early dinner reservation because we were heading over to McLaughlin's Distillery for a tour after. By 5:30pm Nicky's was packed. We started with the combo sampler appetizer (forgot to get a pic) but everything on it was very tasty. The steamed dumplings were my favorite. I had the red curry chicken, spice level 2. It had a nice kick and was the perfect spice level for me. The flavor was great but the chicken was a little dry. My husband had the Phad See Eaw with chicken. The noodles were overcooked and mushy and his chicken was also dry. Most of the rest of our group had the pad Thai, which they all said was very good. And I personally think that's one of the best things on the menu. Overall, I do still really like this place and will continue to go here. I do prefer the north side or downtown locations for ambiance. Even though this location does have an outside patio for the warm weather, I don't think you can beat the outside patio in the northside. It's just a bit cozier.

The best Thai in Pittsburgh! I have loved Nicky's for many years, especially their North Hills location. I dined in this most recent time; the service is always insanely quick, staff is friendly, and they have a lovely outdoor patio! I got my favorite crab rangoons and pad see ew with beef. They get it right every time!

This location has gone down hill after new management. They nickel and dime every single thing. Rice is the cheapest thing and they charge you for it by not even giving you the whole bowl. Now they have a sign on their door and menu that basically reads you cant share food, unless you have the equal amount of your party to the # of dishes. If you share they charge you a $10 sharing plate fee. Like what?! Also, the size of the plates--appetizer size plates not even dinner plates. We asked to speak to the manager 10 min. after being seated. The bill came out quicker than the manager. We didn't even get to enjoy our meal or evening. horrible service--will never be coming back. They lost a loyal customer. A "2-rating" was just me being generous. Pictures- plate size and the toughest tofu!

Food was very, very tasty. Ambiance is phenomenal. Our server, Jon, was prompt and friendly. I gave 4 stars because the 20% gratuity is quietly added to the check. We caught this by accident as it's a pricey place to begin with. Seems a bit sneaky. We will go back, but will now remember they take the tip regardless of your opinion. (I would've tipped over 20% but was irritated they added their own so I left it at their 20%.)

I had wanted to try Nicky's for a couple of years. We often stay on the North Side but Nicky's always seemed to lose out to Peppi's. This time we were having lunch with friends from Aliquippa. Mount Nebo was conveniently located not too far off either 79 or 279. There is ample parking and and a nice outdoor dining area.Service was attentive without being overbearing. We were not rushed even though the 3 PM close of lunch was fast approaching. But our eye was on the clock. We are mindful of employees' "off times".Overall a solid 5 on all 4 meals that were ordered. Our friends had pineapple curry and mango tilapia. After reading the reviews, I had Phad See Eaw and hubby had Chicken Teriyaki. You are offered a choice of soup or salad. I opted for the soup which was unlike anything I had before. It was delicious. I could tell my husband's salad was crisp. Portions were sizeable. Mine as well as hubby's had huge amounts of chicken. All four of us had leftovers. I had enough left over for a dinner and another lunch.Be aware that the tip is added to your bill, at least on parties of 4. We were told that but didn't at the time understand the server. It was circled but the circle went through the "1". I saw this but my friend wasn't convinced because it wasn't clear and math isn't her thing. So she added more. The restaurant was NOT trying to be tricky but perhaps they should be more careful when circling the tip.I nearly forgot, we shared some excellent crab rangoon. This restaurant is a step above and is on par with what I expect in San Francisco. I'll be in town in July. This time I will make time for both Peppis and Nicky's. Sorry no pics. I was busy EATING.

Food is very good. Service is quick. Portions are great. A little packed in there, but makes sense considering their location and trying to maximize seating, so much so there is even a table at the entry of the hall headed to the bathrooms. Honestly my only complaint is really pricing. Even though the portions were nice, I still felt $22 for pad Thai was a bit much and the beer was even more expensive. $10 for a 22oz Sapporo when I can buy the 6 pack for $12.
