New Anchor Inn

Soon walking in around 5pm it was nice and quiet and only a couple others were there. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was the waitress was amazing and the don't have much of a drink munu. Overall I got the Lasagna and it was so good. Definitely recommend. My husband got the sirloin which was a little undercook and some shrimp on scewers. We got peanut butter pie and coconut creame pie which was phenomenal. I would definitely go here in town.

My family an I went after we buried my grandmother. The service honestly started out great, but when we were finally served our meals they were mostly messed up, missing ingredients, served to the wrong person,or they were completely forgotten. There were 13 of us and only 2 other tables with 2 ppl at each table. The owner was there along with 2 waitresses. We did mention our complaints to the owner and he blamed everything on his servers having no experience and also blamed it on his cook. He took absolutely no responsibility for his restaurant and how we were treated. He also refused to refund any meals, eventhough one meal was raw and uneaten.My family an I will NEVER return to this restaurant. We were treated very poorly. The owner should really rethink his business ethics. He is going to mess with the wrong person one of these days and get into a lot of trouble.

I stopped Saturday morning when I found myself in Punxsutawney unexpectedly. Even though I was the only person in the restaurant, I felt like I was under dressed. The food was great though, and the atmosphere was more suited to how I looked than the look of the surroundings. All in all I was happy with everything. Given the right set of circumstances I'd come back again for sure.

Had the worst experience there. Messed up orders right and left. They put anchovies in the wrong item. The owner didn't seem very apologetic about any of it!!

Disappointing! I ordered their chicken tenders dinner. It came with two sides and bread. The chicken tenders were tough, rubbery and dried out. The bread was salty. Their glazed carrots were dried out and there wasn't any glazing. The loaded mashed potatoes came in a bowl, and when I dug down under the sour cream and chives I found the mashed potatoes had the texture and taste of box / instant potatoes. My wife ordered a calzone that she wasn't happy with, too. Some people seem to like their food, but I probably won't ever go back.

Fantastic! Based on the rating we weren't expecting a whole lot, but we were very pleasantly surprised when we stopped in on our road trip. Best lasagna I've ever had, my husband said their house red sauce was the best he'd ever had. Homemade bread was a nice touch. Staff were kind and attentive. If lived closer we'd be back.

Food was awful, service was great but the food has changed from when his mother cooked and ran the restaurant. Atmosphere was good.

Their lasagna is delicious if you like a sweet sauce. Meatballs are very good too. Their bread is nothing special. My brother in law got shrimp scampi and he was not pleased. It came with 5 small shrimp and spaghetti with a very bland sauce. He won't go back with us.

Well where to begin. I traveled over 500 miles to bury my mother and have eaten here for funeral dinners before. So I suggested we go here. BIG mistake. Owner blamed bad service on waitresses and cooks. I think he needed to be more into the situation knowing why and where we were coming from. They were not busy at all, now I understand why. All I can say is call Robert Irvine and Restuarant Impossible because this place has turned Impossible

I love there pizza and pasta. And desserts are great also. Service is great. Food is great
