An experience for anyone that loves a great steak and fine dining! When you walk in, you're welcomed to a warm environment with a properly lit ambience, and oh yeah, a view of amazing meats aging! The service and house staff are amazingly, attentive and friendly, and a joy to have around.Let's talk food for a moment here, though. A very well curated menu, offering almost anything and everything you could conceive from land to sea with some really unique and well done touches. Plentiful salads and appetizers, and the main courses were over the top! For our group, we opted to get the bone marrow, the crabcakes, and some folks ordered a soup. The bone marrow came out piping hot, and in a beautiful presentation, and was utterly scrumptious on the bread that was grilled and served with it. The crabcakes were fantastic, and the sauce that they served them with was the perfect compliment. I had ordered a wedge salad, which was absolutely intense! Served with crispy pork belly, onion rings, and plentiful dressing, it could've been a meal in itself. For the main course, I tried the Japanese A5 Miyazaki prefecture Wagyu. This amazingly marbled 8 ounce cut of sliced Wagyu is served raw and accompanied by black sea salt and a 500° salt stone for you to cook the tender pieces of beef on. Almost as if you're grilling out with friends! Every piece of that beef was like butter, and the black sea salt was the perfect finish on top, after you had seared both sides. We had ordered the mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, and asparagus for shareable sides and it's quite clear that no one left hungry. For dessert I opted for the crème brûlée, which came out with the most perfect sanding sugar glass on it and the touches of well done vanilla bean were outstanding!

Northern California in Northern Pittsburgh? Heck yeah! This is probably one of the best restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. It's technically in Warrendale (Cranberry-ish) but worth the drive from any part of town, if you ask me.Everything from the welcome, to the seating of guests arriving at different times, to the server's handling of the drink orders (great Old Fashioned), to the explanations of the specials... our server Jessica was a rock star and everything she described I wanted! She did such a great job that everyone ordered the 8 Oz. American Wagyu served with 2 Scallops over polenta!I personally started with the Shrimp Cocktail which was great. The shrimp were big and cold and dry (very important). The cocktail sauce was good but not enough horseradish for my taste, but it was good. Another diner ordered the carpaccio which was also pretty good and presented beautifully. The medium rare ribeye was amazing. It had the delicious crust that so many people get wrong and a juicy red center. It was perfect. They had a spinalis steak on the menu which is basically the ribeye fat cap and I'd totally getting that next time... yes, there will be a next time!Dessert was the only thing I'd skip on a future trip. Everything sounded better than it actually was. Not enough to judge the restaurant or remove a star and I'm not a huge dessert person anyway, but I wasn't impressed.Honestly, I'd come back just because of the excellent service. It's awesome to be treated like a guest for once. Sometimes you don't realize how bad service is at other places until you have really amazing service. But the steak, the drinks, the atmosphere and everything just came together! I hope it stays that way!

A second trip did not live up to the first, unfortunately. This time around, my steak, the same Snake River Black Label Wagyu Ribeye - medium rare - came out medium well around the edges. Last time, it was cooked to perfection. This time, I almost sent it back after two bites. Only the very center was medium rare, which was good. The whipped mashed potatoes were again fantastic at least. The seasonal cheesecake - Caramel Apple - was absolutely incredible. It was easily the best thing I ate.Service was still 5-star. Our waiter was friendly, made honest recommendations, and our glasses were consistently filled. The lone exception was that my glass for water had a crack in it that caused an abrasion on the rim that cut my lip. The waiter took care of it, but it was somewhat dismissed which I find disappointing.Overall, it was still a good experience but not one that lived up to the $280 price tag after tip (22%). I had considered buying gift cards for family members for the holidays afterwards, but will be spending my money elsewhere after this visit.

We were looking for a place to eat when in the area and notice NP so we decided to stop in. Really nice atmosphere with a large glassed in wine cellar and a very large and wonderful wine list. Yes, a lot of the wines are expensive but some nice wines by the glass and less expensive bottles. The staff and service was very good. Started with the wedge salad, that is large and wonderful. For my main course I had a special that was a few scallops and a 6 oz steak. Both were cooked perfectly and came with some potatoes

I was quite impressed with Napa Prime. We had been to Off the Hook, the other restaurant owned by the same people and had to try Napa. I had reservations about the place as the area isn't as supportive of fine dining as I would expect, but they did a fantastic job all the way around. The explanations, presentation, and overall food and drink quality was outstanding. I've had the opportunity to dine around the world and Napa Prime was a place we will return to.

Everything about this place is excellent. Ambiance is great for a date night or small group. Food is outstanding. The attached cigar bar is a great way to finish the night! Service was super too!

The food and service was great but it took quite awhile for us to receive our dinner. The dining room wasn't even at capacity. My huge gripe is that it took us 15 minutes to be seated WITH a reservation. Not good considering the empty tables available and no explanation.

Napa Prime is a unique place. Known for their steaks, they have so many different cuts of steak. My husband was craving a steak for his birthday last year, so I found this place!I've been to their sister restaurant, Off the Hook, which was soooo good. I knew this place would be good as well! It is VERY expensive, but you do get a lot of food so you'll be satisfied and filled by the end of the night! Everything that we tried was delicious! I had a small filet, and I believe my husband had a T-Bone. We shared mashed potatoes and asparagus, and we each got soup. As good as the meal was, it's hard to eat here often with the price tag. Nevertheless, it was a lovely, special dinner!

The decor and abundant friendly staff was a pleasant surprise. However it ended there! The menu was extensive and appealing, too bad the quality and favors did NOT match. The bone marrow appetizer was far from high end as priced the only good thing about it was the vinaigrette sauce for mopping. The entree's presentation was poor with the exception of my prime rib too bad it was tough and tasteless. Side note if you're going to provide fancy steak knives they should be sharp enough to cut the food. One good note was the side dishes, large enough to share, well prepared and tasty.Menu too pricey for quality and quantity of both appetizers and entrees. Max 1 star rating!

The best price and experience for Wagu Beef you'll ever find. Comes sliced and you cook it at your table to your liking on a heated cooking stone. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
