Nice people!I love that I use to go to this place growing up when it was called New York Hotdogs. I love that they have the old sign hanging up inside the restaurant. Brought back so many memories. The place looks the same! The hotdogs tastes basically the same as I remember years and years ago! They are delicious and the chili cheese fries were awesome! I wish they were opened a little later, but I totally get it!

As someone born and raised in New York for most of my life I proclaim myself a hotdog aficionado. The store it self is a bit dumpy and even the outside can use a lot of improvement. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly.I ordered 2 hotdogs with mustard and sauerkraut and an order of fries. The price is extremely reasonable as it was $7 which is way cheap. The fries where good not great as well as the hotdogs which in my opinion where just ok nothing special at least compared to what I have had in New York.I read a lot of the other reviews and they said these where the best hotdogs in Pittsburgh?????To be honest I have not been to that many hotdog places to be able to make that judgment. The food was good overall and the price was excellent.I would normally give this 3 stars as it was just ok not more.I give it 4 stars as the price was right and the staff where really nice.I would go again.

I love this place. The best chili dogs in Western PA. And I'm from Beaver County (sorry, HDS) and even better than the Coneys in New Castle or the Hermitage shop. The first time I visited, I literally did 90's dance moves with the staff. The "lawnmower", to be exact. It was during the pandemic, and I was so happy to have a laugh. This is a "must stop" when you're in the 'Burgh. There used to be a few of these dog shops in the area, but this is the last and best.

I've driven and walked by this place for YEARS and I somehow have always missed the hours when they are open. My hubby and I played hooky from work a few weeks ago and we came to Nana's for lunch. We ordered ours to go. We were greeted warmly when we came in. We got there around 1:15 (they close at 2) and luckily it wasn't super busy at all. We each ordered the two hot dog combo (I got beef hot dogs, hubby got pork) and the combos come with fries and a drink. Everything was so good and it definitely hit the spot! They also mentioned that you can call in your order too instead of waiting. I would definitely go back!

A nostalgic treat. You especially should try their chilli dog, the best in the city. This place is definitely old school, and the prices are reasonable. Featured in Rick Sebak's 2013 Documentary, North Side Sandwiches (under the name of Steve's New York Hot Dog Shop) the restaurant has a new owner and name, but still delivers a classic hot dog.

Seriously you guys, you need to try Nana's. I am a fiend for a good hot dog and always on the look out for my next hot dog adventure. I was told about Nana's from a few coworkers and finally had a chance to stop in.This place reminds you of a busy department store lunch counter. It's a pretty narrow spot, but the counter top stretches all the way back. You have a few choices on how to enjoy your food from here. The first being that you order and eat in. The second, show up and order your food to go. The third, and probably the smartest of them all, call ahead to place your order and show up to pick it up. I chose the second, probably will do the third on my next venture here.I don't want to say that I was disappointed by going about my experience the second way because it can be time consuming if you are in a hurry. But that did allow me to see how they work, and let me tell you, they work swiftly here. Orders continually roll in and they do not miss a beat. I cannot say that they have a set station that each of them man because they are all over the place and work so well together.I came in and looked at the menu, deciding fairly quickly and placed my order. I then sat back and watched the show unfold in front of me. Order in, orders on the grill/in the fryer, going on break/coming back, answering the phone, bagging up the orders and doing it all over again. It was exhausting to watch, but enjoyable.I went with the two beef dog combo deal. You can have them topped however you please with a ton of combinations. This comes with fries and for a little extra you can get them topped with cheese. For the beef dogs they slice them down the middle and grill them face down. Great technique as they get this bit of charred taste to them and give it a bit of a crunch. They are then placed in fresh steamed buns and topped to your liking. Also comes with a drink and does not break the bank at all. An aside, cash only. Make sure to have cash on you or stop before getting here. The dogs tasted amazing and fresh. I devoured them in seconds and enjoyed the fries. A very satisfying meal to be had.

First time over here in the Burgh and boy did I find the spot. Three badass women Full of charisma, good energy and the overall vibe you want with local food. Customer service was on point and the food was made fresh Togo. I traveled from the Bay Area and don't yelp often but when I do; it's to boost the community that fed me with love. Definitely worth the stop. I'll be trying breakfast tomorrow.

Just what I was looking for! I have been searching for a quality hot dog joint since Covid hit--and I finally found a winner. If you are hinting a quality hot dog prepared by an efficient and friendly staff then go to Nana's. I got one dog with mustard/relish and one with chili--both were beef hot dogs. They were great. I topped them off with a small French Fry (small was a lot of fries), and it was a great meal at a great price.
