We had an amazing experience this evening at Nagoya! We had Joe as our Hibachi chef and he was by far the best most interactive and animated chef I've had in 25 years of eating hibachi. Our chef referred to himself as Saki Joe and he lived up to that name. We had a fantastic time with him. Between the zucchini throwing, saki races, peeing water boy, egg spinning, and onion volcanoes it was an amazing experience. Thank you Saki Joe for a memorable evening! The food was spectacular, well seasoned and the meat was very tender and fresh. You're able to request extra rice in place of other items which is important to me as I am not a huge vegetable person. Also despite the menu saying "or" for noodles and rice; both are definitely included. The salad was fresh and the ginger dressing is in house. The clear onion soup was very flavorful the right temp and delicious. I had the chicken meal and my party all together tried almost the entire menu eating a total of the steak, scallops, shrimp, and chicken. All were phenomenal. Their yum yum sauce is made in house and also some of the best I've ever had. Best hibachi experience I've had in years. We can't wait to come back!

We ordered online shortly after they opened, and the confirmation said our food would be ready in 30 minutes. My husband went to pick it up, and they couldn't find our order. An hour and 15 minutes later, we finally got our food. After all that time, they didn't even make our order correctly (ordered a spicy California roll and got a regular one). The rolls were messy and didn't even taste fresh. Giving two stars because my husband did like his beef negimaki, but we weren't impressed with anything else.

With it being Saturday night we expected to have to wait to be seated but we were seated right away. However it took a bit to see our waitress, when she did come by she was very nice. And we could definitely tell that they were running her all over the place so we didn't mind. I ordered the crab rangoon's and the shrimp hibachi. The crab rangoon's came with a very good sweet n spicy sauce. The shrimp hibachi was definitely the beat I've had in awhile and very large portions. I was able to bring some home for lunch sometime this week. Whats a plus is my significant other doesn't like hibachi veggies so I got his portions. The only downside was there was a weird smell when you walked into the restaurant. Couldn't quite figure out what it was, it did go away when seated so thats how I was able to figure out it was right when you walked in. But when more people started trickling in their movement caused the smell to move.

Extremely disappointed in this experience. We went on Saturday night, we couldn't be seated at the hibachi table as they said they were all reserved due to a schools homecoming.....OK, no problem. We sat in a booth, our server finally came out, we ordered water and asked to see a drink menu to start, that took forever. Ordered drinks and food when the water came out. Appetizer salad & soup came out right away, still no drinks. 30 minutes later we were told they were out of an ingredient to make a Mojito, so we ordered a different drink. 10 minutes later we finally got our drinks, the food came out immediately after the drinks. The food was just ok, nothing to rave about, my chicken was cold and tough. From what we observed there was not a bartender (apparently the bartender was also the hostess and answering the phone) - the bar was empty, until her friends came in and she made their drinks right away. We could tell our server was being run around all over the place, so we understand it wasn't all his fault. I get the staff was overwhelmed but close the rest of the restaurant if you're only going to cater to certain people. Overall a completely unacceptable disappointing experience.

This place is tucked away in a plaza, but once you find it you'll be glad that you did! The sushi is great, and I loved how spread out the restaurant was. Huge dining areas, and hibachi tables if that's something you're interested in. Although we didn't sit at the hibachi table, we were still able to order a hibachi dinner.

Went to eat here on a Friday night at 7:30 pm with a friend. Called to ask what time they close and no one answered on the first attempt. We walked in and the hostess was very unwelcoming and told us to sit at the bar because takeout was busy, we proceeded to sit at the bar and watched the hostess sit around and chat with a customer and only saw one takeout order the whole time we were there. The bartender took a little bit to approach us as well once we sat down. I ordered the volcano roll that was phenomenal - this is the only reason I would return. When we sat down at the bar, we noticed 2 beers waiting to get picked up for about 20 minutes - I feel sorry for the guests who were served those warm beers.Additionally, I have ordered takeout here in the past and they told me it would take 20 minutes. When I arrived to pick the food up they said it would be 5 minutes but I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes for my takeout. Along with that, they did not pick up the phone again that time after making numerous attempts to call my order in. Overall, my experience here was below average and this place seems to have gone downhill since their name change. They treat their customers as an inconvenience, probably will not return for a while.

If there was a way to give a 0 star review I would. Walked in Monday night with my family, the place is pretty slow. One table had just left and another eating. We were sat quickly at a grill and after some time someone came and removed the other extra plates. More time elapsed and we still did not have anyone come to take our drink order or check on us.Another table is sat across from us that they had bussed while we sat there and watched. I finally asked if someone could wait on us and the guy sipping his tea overseeing the hibachi area begrudgingly came over. We ordered our drinks and he immediately asked what "food" we wanted. At this point we left. They could not be bothered with us, they seemed annoyed at our presence. I cannot speak for the food, but for a place looking like they could've used a table for 5 that evening they sure didn't act like it.

This place is never staffed to the amount of customers it gets. It always takes way too long to sit down, order, get food, etc. The food is good so if you're willing to wait 2 hours before you get your food by all means go here you will enjoy the food. But the insanely long wait times will never be worth it for me.
