Monte Cello's Pizza

Love the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Always a family favorite. This visit i realized I had never reviewed the wexford Monte cellos. Love updated interior and staff is always friendly & attentive. Unfortunately, today, many of the beer taps were empty & our food took quite a while to come out. We will continue to support our local restaurant but hope for a better experience next time.

Happy they brought back the lunch buffet from pre-pandemic. I enjoy their pizzas (the sauce leans sweet which I don't mind but I know that's a red flag for some so it's worth noting). Buffet felt a little makeshift and inconsistently updated. Server was super friendly. Hard to not point out that $12.50 for pizza, wedding soup, salad, meatballs, garlic knots, and spaghetti compared to $10 up the road at roma for more diverse pizza toppings, rotating mains like chicken parm, rotating pastas, 2 soups, salad, and cookies. Their operation runs a bit more smoothly too as I've seen it with big crowds where there were about 5 people partaking in the buffet here and still a bit of a wait. Pre pandemic I recall things like Buffalo chicken and Philly steak specialty pizzas but over the 90 minutes here I saw pepperoni, plain, peppers onions, and sausage bacon. Overall good value but given the competition around the area for same concept, it doesn't feel as good of value.

The food was very good. The server was great. Ambiance is cozy. Portion sizes are decent. I had to give 4 stars because 1. The server said many servers won't give a child's size meal to an elderly person. My mom is over 70. Senior portions (esp considering many seniors" budgets) need to be smaller and cheaper.. it's a community welcoming and embracing thing to do when a restaurant honors senior sized and priced meals. 2. A sign in the women's bathroom stall said "Let that Sh1t Go." The swear word was spelled correctly. The last thing I want is to think about fecal matter while I'm eating, and, it's a family restaurant, not a dive bar.. the sign is tasteless.

Went tonight and was very disappointed. We have been there several times and the food was generally good. Tonight it was terrible. There was 7 of us and it was not super busy. Took a half hr to get drinks. Then we place our order which included two pizzas plus other orders. The pizza was half raw one we sent back and the cooked it longer and then was overcooked. My wife got wedding soup that had zero flavor. Overall very disappointed. The bill was nearly $170 and was not worth $70 in my opinion. Probably won't be back.

This place was ok. Our waiter was very nice. We waited a very long time, they told us the wait was 30 minutes and it turned out to being around 45 minutes, then we waited much longer to be served. The food was good but if you don't get the Chicago deep dish and ask for the tomato fillets there is no pizza sauce on it and i was very confused because i wasn't informed. I did love the vibes of the place though, everyone was nice and people who were at the front were very inviting. Would come here again just wish there was a better wait time.

I can understand the $3 delivery fee but $19 for a dozen wings?! Come on Monte Cellos! The wing shortage is over now, let's be more reasonable for your customers!

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening and sat in the dining room. Oscar, our waiter, was wonderful. However, the food took an hour to come. One diner got up and left. Not sure if the kitchen is short staffed on weeknights, but we won't be back.

Monte Cello's is always a family favorite but i have just recently stopped in and now that the dining room has reopened officially and the food was better than ever, the service was quick and attentive still the same good atmosphere and i will definitely be back i'm so glad they have reopened the dining room

Bad rating from a big fan of another location!We heard about the new ( to us) pizza buffet that was in another further location of our favorite Italian restaurant, Monte Cellos in Cranberry Twp.We excitedly drove to Wexford to experience to experience Monte Cellos great pizza and service,WRONG!We were greeted with 2 pans of cold, dry pizza that were made up of different pizza types from earlier pies that were arranged on the plate together.I complained to our waitress about the state of the buffet and she said "not too many customers had showed up today and they didn't bring out new until the existing were eaten"However she did offer to make us what we wanted, which I did, and after 10 to 15 minutes it was brought out to the buffet (it was great).They also had watery wedding soup and a nice salad available .Buffet is from 11:30 to 2:30 Pm. We arrived at 1pm.$12.95 for 4 small slices of fresh pizza was excessive. No refills on drinks.Stick to the Cranberry Twp location for great food and good service!

Ordered pizza and wings,they were cold and soggy, for new ownership they definitely need to pick up the pace!!!
