This place is a hidden gem in the Uniontown area. It doesn't come off as much when driving by but you're in for a treat when coming in. It's a nice locally owned restaurant/bar that makes you feel like you're apart of the town when you stop in. The inside is your normal bar restaurant area and they just added an outside seating patio too. The food options here are great as well, ranging from wings, pizza, absolutely delicious sandwiches and salads. I always order the steak sandwich myself as I just love the bread they use, cheese and special "Bills" hot peppers. Their pizza is homemade and the bruschetta really is famous. I will say I have yet to try the Italian hoagie which from what I hear is what built this place, next time! Nonetheless This place is great to stop in and grab a bite. Always a blast here!

My mom always taught me not to judge based on looks but in this situation I should have went with my gut, guess that's what I get for hiking till the sunset then expecting to be able to find a decent pizza in the area. After calling another place that had nearly 5 stars and finding out they were closed I was left with just 2 options and after looking at the Ellio's Frozen pizza the other place served I went with this joint. When we pulled up and I realized it was a bar I should have went with my gut and left but I try to keep an open mind. I walked in and placed my order for a 12" cheese pizza with mushroom then went back out to my car to wait for it to be ready - in retrospect, what I should have done was waited at the bar and downed a few shots to make this chewy, cardboard consistency concoction edible. We got back to our hotel and as soon as I took that first bite I realized that I would be going to bed hungry. The pizza reminds me of Bowling Alley/Roller Rink pizza that they make using pre-made shells, but even that would have been much better than this. The sauce was unmemorable, the cheese needed some sort of flavor and the mushrooms they scattered on for an additional $1 were rubbery and flavorless. My jaw actually hurts after eating just 1 piece before giving up and our golden retriever took one look at the cheese we offered him and turned his nose up and walked away in disgust. My husband who rarely complains about anything I feed him just shook his head and said, this is REALLY bad. Not sure what type of clientele this place attracts because as we were in our car waiting I saw a group of people walk in with a child that couldn't have been more than a year old and were inside seated at a table when I walked back in - mind you this was at nearly 10 pm. The bar itself is dimly lit and most certainly not a place I would dine in if I actually lived in the area (we are from out of town and knew no better). Take my advice and opt for fast food or pizza from a chain.

There are three things I look for in a pub, and I'm going to address them individually. Food: Extremely reasonably priced is an understatement. Menu is average sized, food has always taken only a couple of minutes (I frequent during lunchtime), and I always leave full for under $10. Quality of food is consistent and delicious. What more can you ask for?Beer/Liquor: I'm a beer nut. I'm of this generation. If I walk into a place and see mostly domestics on draft, I won't hang there. Currently, Bud Light and Yueng Light are on tap, complimented by 4 popular craft beers. This is a completely reasonable combination. However, I feel like this place pulls through with the bottle/can selection. The person managing the bar understands the importance of variety in beer, and has good taste themself. There's a nice combination of Southern Tier, Dogfish Head, New Belgium, Ballast Point, Troegs, and more, making up a good mix of local and Anheuser Busch/InBev products. Atmosphere: Mama is a sweetheart. Greeted politely and comfortably every time I'm in, and she's pleasant to talk to and just bullshit with. She'll tell you how's she's grateful for her customers and you can't help but accept her for one of your own. There's no reason to not spend $15 and grab some food and a craft brew at the bar. It's probably the best one in Uniontown.

Mom Maruca's has always been a traditional ma and pa pizza shop here in town. It wasn't till recently that they moved into the building that used to house the Belmont Inn bar. I'm glad they did this as now you can actually go there and sit down for dinner, whereas before it was pick up only. With that being said, I give them three stars. The pizza is nothing fantastic, but it's a good bland pizza (if that makes any sense haha) and their wings are tasty and cooked just right. Prices are decent, $5 for a 4 cut which is actually the size of most 6 cuts.

My wife and i have enjoyed Marucas pizza for years. Their location change has been great for us as they're now even closer to home. We never eat in but I'm tempted by their Saturday steak special. The pizza has changed slightly over the years and its not what most people expect but its our comfort food pizza. Love the doughy crust and slightly sweet sauce. Its a unique pie. Not at all like a traditional NY pizza or even the large pizza franchises. Best thing to happen with the move is the expanded menu which includes THE BEST WINGS IN UNIONTOWN! STATION 40! Flavorful, spicy sweet, crispy, and saucey. Love these wings so much I get them once a week. Highly recommended.

If you have been in search of a local eatery that will make you feel as comfortable as you do when your sitting on your couch, while wearing your favorite sweats, then Mom Maruca's Pizza Shop is that and soooo much MORE! Known for their homemade pizzas, delicious salads with your choice of 4, out of this world homemade dressing, and their top seller Fran's Famous Bruschetta. Paired with some of the best craft beer on tap, in additional there's two coolers are filled with craft and domestic bottles if you don't like what you see on Tap. Some signature drinks are their Orange Crush, Raspberry Ice, or a Peach Long Island, one of those specialty drinks and you're enjoying your night before it even gets started! Their bartender takes the time to really find what you personally like, within minutes expect to see your drink of choice in front of you! You're gonna have some questions, well their almost over friendly, attentive server will have the answers. She's been there for years, she is the familiar face for all their regulars, and she wants everyones overall experience to be so good your coming back (good goal to have). This place has good bones, and traits that chain restaurants will never be able to obtain. Great for a community! This is more than a Pizza Shop, family owned of course and very successful! The owners are day in day out working on the sides of their employees! They love hearing from customers, they wanna know what made you walk through their doors that day. So, Make sure you let them know that it was this quirky but totally knowledgeable review. PLOT TWIST... I'm their server! I read some reviews and we needed one to speak on our ATMOSPHERE! I love that the most! I'm not originally from Uniontown, so Mom Maruca's was new to me. I fell in love with all parts of it and just want families to know that a place does exist where you can take your family, feel at home, eat great food and yummy drinks, and have a great time while doing all of the above!!! So many many newbies turn into weekly regulars, and I hear this too often from them " if only I knew about this place sooner. " or I just never came inside ! Mom Maruca's Pizza Shop is Uniontown's hidden gem, lots of people call it their home away from home, so join in on some Pizza, Beer , most importantly one hell of a ATMOSPHERE!!! P.S No paid advertisement over here! Just a lil review to show my love and support! P.P.S Above everything else... one thing that has to be done.... order some bruschetta for the table. If you follow this, you are Golden! You also have a desire need to have it at least once a month, but not all habits are BAD !!!

The pizza is frozen. Get your pizza from anywhere else, including your grocer's freezer section. The wings, however, are very good.
