We went for dinner and we were seated promptly. The ambiance was very pleasant.Our server brought over some water while we looked at the menu.For the appetizer, we shared the calamari and it was good.For my entree, I had the dragon eel roll and it was great. The other entrees looked good too. I'd definitely recommend this place for dinner.

One of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to, and I've been to some "famous" ones in NYC, LA and SF. This is a gem for sure. The sushi is very fresh and tasty. Sauces are light and flavorful.

I was in Niles for a work trip for two weeks and ate at Mizu at least 4 times. It is THAT good. The flavors in the sushi rolls are incredible. They have amazing sauces. The resturant is clean and the servers are attentive.This sushi was really delicious, which was pretty surprising to me because it is in the middle of nowhere, Ohio. But I would definitely recommend this place!

My friends and I have tried sushi around the country and for whatever reason nothing tops Mizu sushi and has become a favorite. A typical meal costs around $20 but the real bang for your buck is the lunch special (Monday-Saturday open-4pm). The only place that has out-done mizu in my experience is a place in Toronto.The service is always great and everyone is easy to understand. The ambiance is above average, especially when the bubble wall is fully functioning.

My daughter and I were discussing visting Japan to eat sushi and experience the culture there. We wondered what their sushi tastes like and how different it is than the Americanized sushi that we consume. We also wondered how tasty the vending machine food actually is. We then tried to figure out what makes great sushi in our opinions. It turns out that my daughter doesn't love the idea of eating raw fish. In fact, she doesn't really like nagiri and sashimi. So we determined that THE SAUCE is was what makes sushi great to us. With that being said, Mizu has great sauce. And in our opinions, that translates to great tasting sushi.On this visit, I suggested that we order a shrimp boat because why not. But she didn't like that there were 16 pieces of sashimi included in the boat, so we skipped that option. I like surprises and I know my daughter's flavor palette. So I let her pick all of the sushi. She requested four premium rolls, only one of which I remember the name of - the American Dream. While we waited, we requested some steamed soy beans.When the food arrived, it looked amazing. Upon first taste, all of the rolls were excellent. The sauce put this sushi over the top for us. I found myself thinking this was the best sushi I'd ever tasted. Four rolls ended up being too much for us to finish, so we ended up taking home leftovers. Our eyes are bigger than our stomachs. There were eight large pieces of sushi in each roll.I will seek out Mizu in the future.

Being born and raised in So California, I've seen my share of good Japanese restaurants.What I don't often find is a Japanese restaurant in places like Niles, OH that are darn good. My wife and I met her sister and husband for lunch and could not be more happy and surprised at the extensive menu and options here at Mizu sushi and restaurant. From lunch and dinner Bento Boxes, to the many sushi roll options, to the noodles and to the katsu...this restaurant has it all! I should note the non-traditional decor...including their "bubble" aquarium as my daughter noted because there were on fish inside...it's very unique and modern. Also, I'm accustomed to being welcomed with some gusto...but I guess they only do that in So. Cal...such a thing would probably scare off the Niles, OH patrons, LOL. Besides their sushi bar area is at the far opposite side of the door...doubt they can see anyone walk in.Everything we ordered was good, portions were good...my daughter loved her pork Katsu and we shared the monster roll, volcano roll and out of control roll as well as some appetizers...we could have had every roll on the menu it all looked and sounded good...some (rolls) I've never seen on any other menu!The only minor knock...service wasn't swift but we didn't feel forgotten.This area is fortunate to have a place that represents Japanese food so very well.
