We went there on a Wednesday night and they were out of brisket so the owner told us to call ahead and gave us the store number. We did so the next day and he made sure to have brisket for us when we arrived. We had the brisket sandwiches and when we ordered forgot to ask for the onions and peppers. We went back a few minutes later when we realized and the owner said, don't worry and sorted out it.The brisket was cooked to perfection and the corn bread side felt like a dessert with the food. It tasted great and although I don't live in the area, I do come by often so I plan to come back to this place.

We have used Mitch's Barbecue for many of our family functions and occasions. I have recommend Mitch to many of our friends, who have also used him for picnics and graduations. Mitch and his wife are wonderful to deal with, friendly and accommodating to all my special food needs. He has always been on time and followed all the venues requirements. The food is Excellent!!. The staff the Mitch hires are friendly and helpful. We have always ordered The Backyard Bar-B-Que ( boneless chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs and a choice of two of his sides, usually the pasta and coleslaw, and we have always loved the homemade Ice Cream bar. ) We have also added the Pork BBQ at an additional price, but it was so well worth it !! call him for your next event, you won't be disappointed.

Well I have not used the mobile side of the establishments but since it based on what happens at the indoor venue near Wexford it is to be recommended. Family owned, run, operated. Taco brisket a favorite. Spicy.

Mitch's catered our outdoor evening wedding last month and I would give more stars if Yelp allowed it. Outstanding for everything!First, they have excellent menu choices. Since my husband and I both lived in TX and had guests coming from TX we went with the brisket. I was a little nervous as we couldn't try it beforehand as Mitch only does brisket for events. He offered for us to come to one to try it, but we just didn't have time. Bringing us to the second reason. The brisket was excellent! I didn't have to worry. Everyone raved about it even my pals from Austin and San Antonio and the sauces especially the spicy bbq were amazing. We also had grilled chicken which was extraordinary. It had the most delicious rub! For sides we went with cheesy potatoes (completely yummy) and grilled veggies (very good). Mitch threw in sausages too which were awesome. Everyone also loved the homemade ice cream sundae bar. Very cool!!!Finally, Mitch and Beverly were so easy to work with. It was easy to communicate with them. They always responded immediately. They were familiar with the venue, they setup on time and their service was terrific. Do yourself a favor and book them for your event. You won't be disappointed.

You wanna talk about some good-@ss barbecue, go check out Mitch's on Rt. 19 in Wexford. They do many of your standards: brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, and sides like baked beans, mac & cheese, cole slaw, sweet potato cornbread, etc. However, they do dabble in other styles; you can actually get the occasional taco or ramen bowl here too. But the 'cue is what really shines. It's a deceptively large space, having a few tables on the main level, but an entire upstairs and outdoor patio area out back. My husband and I enjoy the food so much that we had them cater our wedding for about 150 people. (It was held at Noah's Event Venue in Cranberry, btw, which means it was under 5 miles from Mitch's, and we didn't have to pay any mileage fees. Hot tip for anyone looking to get married there!) It was very cost effective, we ate plenty of it ourselves, and still took home a ton of leftovers. People are STILL complementing us on the food! Get you some Mitch's Barbecue today!

I attended an event catered by Mitch's at the Veterans Pavilion in Schenley Park last night. I arrived an hour and a half late due to circumstances beyond my control at work, but there was still plenty of food when I arrived.I had a BBQ pork sandwich and some chicken with baked beans, corn on the cob, pasta salad, and green salad. The BBQ pork was pretty good, although not the best I've ever had. It was very tender, but the texture was a bit strange (there seemed to be chunks of pork intermingled with the pulled sections, whereas I'm accustomed to pure pulled pork), and it was slightly spicy (this is weird, since I've never had spicy pulled pork before). The chicken was okay, but nothing to really write home about. The baked beans weren't as sweet as I'm accustomed to. I didn't have any issues with the corn, pasta salad, or green salad, but it's hard to mess these items up. I liked the array of items offered for the dinner buffet, and I appreciated that they were labeled so I didn't have to guess about what things were. The one criticism I have of the layout is that the corn on the cob was in a cooler beside the buffet table (I assume this was done in order to keep it warm and to save space), and I would have missed it had I not asked someone where it was (I saw the butter for the corn on the condiment table, which tipped me off that there was corn to be had). This would probably be a 3.5 star review if it weren't for the ice cream sundae bar. After dinner, they set up a table with four tubs of ice cream, and you could choose one or two flavors, which they'd scoop into a bowl for you. (I chose oreo and chocolate.) You then could take your ice cream to another table filled with sundae condiments, and dress it with as many as you like. I went pretty crazy, taking some of all of the following: hot fudge, rainbow sprinkles, crushed Reese cups, crushed brownies (?), whipped cream, and maraschino cherries. Needless to say, all of this made for one killer sundae! As for the ice cream itself, it was quite smooth and delicious--definitely the culinary highlight of the meal.Given that I didn't work with them to prepare for this event, I can't comment on that aspect of the experience. However, as a consumer, I was pretty pleased with their offerings, and would enjoy attending another event catered by them.

Can't say enough good things about Mitch's BBQ. Mitch and Beverly were so easy to work with. They catered my daughter's graduation party two weeks ago and people are still stopping me in the neighborhood or calling me to tell me what a wonderful time they had and what awesome food we served. We even had them bring a gyro cone, and prepare all of the fixins (which they had never done before) as part of our feast. Of course the ice cream bar was a huge hit with kids and adults alike. Prices were reasonable, they were on time and professional. Would highly recommend their business to anyone in town.Lynn Giannirakis

Better than anything in Nashville. Real food. Real chef. Great support staff. Mitch's catered a party at my house for 120 people. They showed up, went straight to work, and out did themselves. I can't say enough about Mitch and his crew. Extremely professional but the level of knowledge and attention to detail was impressive. When Mitch found out that my husband didn't eat meat, he went out of his way and brought a beautiful fillet of salmon and smoked it along with the ribs, chicken, burgers, and kielbasa. Talk about making your customers happy. This was a home run. Everyone loved the food and having the big barbecue/smoker during the party made it special. There's a group of us planning to go to the new restaurant for more and looking forward to that. Just don't forget it's BYOB.
