Guy that waited on us (6:30 pm-9/22) was a real jackass. Ice cream was excellent as usual, but the guy that waited on us was miserable.

My husband and I had ice cream sundaes. Mine was peanut butter chocolate chip with half Carmel and half chocolate sauce . My husband had the brownie ice cream also with half caramel and half chocolate sauce . Less sauce than a Dairy Queen sundae & they were out of whipped cream, but definitely still pretty darn delicious.

Earlier this week I was at a doctors appointment and as I was leaving I saw Millies across the street and I couldn't believe my eyes. I like to think I'm pretty "in the know" about new eats in the area but I didn't know this was coming at all!! At least I wasn't too far behind since it just opened last weekend! Before we moved up to cranberry we were frequent visitors to the market square and shadyside locations. I've gotta be honest, cranberry is severely lacking in ice cream shops...or used to be? Now that Millies is on the scene I have all I need. Today I visited Millies with my mother in law and sister in law who are in town visiting. Primantis for dinner and Millies for dessert. Doesn't get much better than that. ;) I wish I would have gotten the name of the guy who helped us out because he was phenomenal! So kind and nice and so patient with us as we sampled nearly every flavor on the menu, trying to decide which pints to bring home to share among us and our husbands. I think he must be the manager/owner of this location (and maybe others) because we was a incredibly well versed in each ice cream flavor and the story of Millies itself. After probably 10 minutes of sampling and talking to the super helpful and nice man at the window, we decided to get three pints of ice cream--blueberry crumble, backyard s'more and German chocolate. All of them were delicious and had great flavors. The ice cream is a little more than I'd typically like to spend on ice cream, but it's worth it. One item to note, this Millies has a drive thru which is fun, but one thing I'd say it is lacking is a menu prior to getting to the window to order. If there are others out there like me who take their sweet time deciding on a flavor to get, it may be helpful to see the menu while waiting instead of at the window. So thrilled to have a Millies in town! Go check it out!!

Millie's makes tremendously good ice cream. It's all freshly made and very flavorful. I've had Millie's numerous times in Pittsburgh but had yet to try the spot they opened in Cranberry. Today I decided to change that. You can't miss the place as it's painted hot pink. They are socially conscious too all the cups and spoons are biodegradable, plant based. I skipped their delicious waffle cone today and got two scoops of cookie dough in a cup. It's a decent serving, flavorful base ice cream and tons of cookie dough inside. The only downside to Millie's is that it's a bit more pricey than other spots, mine was $7. But it's fresh, homemade ice cream from a local company, so I'm okay with that.

This location has character, I will absolutely give it that. I've only been here on two frigid winter days, so I can't comment on the logistics during an actual busy day. I've used the walk-up counter both times, but they do have a drive-through available.Despite not loving the location, I love Millie's ice cream (lactose intolerance notwithstanding). They are higher on the price spectrum like some of their peers, but I'll always support a local ice creamery. And in my experience, they hire good people with a friendly attitude and serve a good product. And that'll always keep me coming back.

We went here because my wife is an ice cream lover. Anywho, I tried their Best Chocolate on a sugar cone. My wife got Peanut Butter Chip. She said it was awful. It had little flavor and the texture of having bits of peanuts didn't work. My chocolate cone certainly wasn't the best. With the first lick I could tell that they added way too much coco powder to the mix. It played my aftertaste when I swallowed it. In total, these 2 single scoop cones cost over $12 with tax. One star was because that's the lowest you can go. Another for the young lady who served us. She was quite pleasant. Nothing else deserves a star. This place is an expensive letdown. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Millies is so awesome!! We went to get a couple pints for our family and the person who helped us at the window was extremely helpful. He gave us as many samples as we needed to make our decision and gave us a fun background of the beginnings of Millie's. We ended up choosing blueberry crumb cake, backyard s'mores, and German chocolate! They were each so rich and creamy and I would recommend them to anyone in the Pittsburgh area!

For ~$5 I got almost 3 tablespoons of ice cream today in a paper cup. Thanks Millie, that corporate greed must be everywhere.

After seeing Pittsburgh Today and seeing Heather and David talk about Millie's my wife and I were on the way home from the doctors in Cranberry. We stopped at the location and the young lady was very nice and the ice was very good . Now the bad part was the cost. Sixteen dollars for a single scoop cone and a sundae is a bit high. This would not be the place I would take the little league team.

Went back and forth on how many stars I wanted to leave for this review. I asked for a "cake cone" and was told that was only for customers that have a gluten allergy. I didn't know how to respond and didn't want to lie so I just accepted that I wasn't "allowed" to have a cake cone. That rubbed me the wrong way for my first experience with Millie's.
