Michael's is right off the road, convenient to exiting & accessing the highway. It is homecooked food. The one pancake was almost as big as the plate! The sausages looked handmade. I got decaf, which was ok, but another customer said that the regular was excellent. It has a small-ish dining room, 12 tables. It's a little run-down, but clean. Jerri, the waitress, is efficient and pleasant. For a full breakfast, less than 10 bucks, you can't go wrong.PS Ugh. The ladies room needs significant improvement. Pretty bad. And sticky. Ew.

I ate here earlier this month during a day trip to the area - the place is more or less one of the only sit-down eateries you can find near Moraine State Park and Living Treasures. What I couldn't see when I initially parked was that there's a bar hidden behind the restaurant; but boy could I smell it. That's pretty much the only thing I didn't like about this place.Fortunately I didn't let the smell scare me off. Michael's looked pretty unassuming - it features a simple layout and old school decor - but the place provided me with a great dinner. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and replaced the usual side of fries with a cup of French onion soup. The soup was pretty standard; French onion is french onion is comfort food is french onions. But the grilled chicken sandwich surprised and impressed me, as it came with the tenderest and juiciest chicken breast! The meal was affordable, fresh, and tasty - all I could have asked for during my day trip. And the staff and my waitress were welcoming and quick to boot. While I don't drive this way frequently I would 100% eat here again the next time I'm in the area. I definitely recommend eating at Michael's, unless you are very sensitive to tobacco and cigarettes, as the neighboring bar unfortunately can't be helped.

On our way to Lake Arthur and we thought we'd stop for lunch. My chicken salad was great. Fresh ranch dressing, lettuce, carrots, grape tomatoes, two cheeses, bacon and amazing crispy chicken. Great price! Husband had the Friday Special, piece of fish, stewed tomatoes and Mac & cheese. We will be back when we are in the area!

Went for dinner last night with a group of 8. Bar smells of smoke which is normally a turn off for me. Took a while to set up our table that we already had a reservation for. Couldn't seem to locate enough silverware. When we reordered drinks ,they took the glass we were using to refill them. Entrees come with soup and salad but they were out of both?! Didn't offer to comp us in any way. Food was good but not worth the frustration. Don't bother going. I won't be back.

Food still good but service is the Pits!!!!New owners are clueless when it comes to service. Wife & I will be taking a very long break and hope that telling a customer that there is no time to wipe down a table is unacceptable especially by one of the owners!

Michael's isn't a fancy place - they don't serve gourmet meals on expensive linens. What they do have is a fun bar to go hang out with friends, a separate restaraunt with a very comfortable "lived in" dining room, consistently friendly service, and reasonably priced, very tasty food! Time spent at Michael's feels a lot like the places we all used to go years ago to spend Saturday night catching up with family you rarely see over drinks and a big Sunday dinner at the Grandparent's place. If you're looking for a local spot to just enjoy time spent with friends or family that has good food and won't break the bank, Michael's is a good idea!
