Mel's Restaurant & Lounge

Mel's appears to be closed, missing the front wall.....The place has a snow fence around it. What can I say.

Great food, friendly staff. Very much a hole in the wall spot. Would definitely recommend this place. Looks on the outside are deceiving it's great food and drinks at a fair price.

Stopped at this place on a road trip a year or two ago. This year, on another road trip we talked about this little dive bar we stopped at and "what was the name of that place?"Turns out we stopped at the exact same place. If that doesn't say enough, I don't know what does.Please note that if you sit at the bar you will smell like smoke afterwards.

Small town bar. Excellent food at super affordable prices!! Bartender was great. Must be 21 to enter !

Typical dive bar.... But with REALLY good food! I got the mushroom burger and it was very good. My husband got the wings which were excellent and the "small" calzone that was big enough to feed a small army. Heal prices, and good food! The only con for me was that they allow smoking. Luckily we went for lunch so it wasn't very busy or Smokey.

Never made it past the front door because the cigarette smell smacked us in the face as soon as we opened the door.

This is you quintessential dive bar. This is a local hangout and as someone from out of town and passing through this was a great find! Stopped in for a quick bite and stayed all night, listened to the band and had a great time with several of the locals. The staff was extremely warm, inviting, and friendly. The food was very good and there is a good selection of wings on the menu. One warning about the wings, they serve the whole wing! Next time I'm in the area I'm heading straight to Mel's!

Noone under 21 admitted, refused service. Tried to order takeout and would have been twice the price. Restaurant was very smoky, even staff was smoking. Not sure what the food is like but wouldn't recommend.

Unwelcoming bartender. In a bar business, the bartender can make or break it. I wouldn't go back.

Great dive bar...food reasonable priced along with beer...food was excellent "bar food"...not many smoking bars left so I got good and smoked up
