McTighe's Garden Center

Great selection of lawn and garden products. They have everything you need to spruce up your yard this spring. I just stopped by today to get some pumpkins and gourds to decorate for the fall season. Prices are reasonable and selection is always good. Only complaint is that you have to be patient with Route 8 traffic when pulling out.

We met the owner yesterday and he was very friendly and helpful. They were just getting started with their season, but still there was a nice selection of Easter lilies and tulips. They also carry a full line of gardening supplies.I feel so much better shopping here over the big box stores, plus their plants are a lot healthier and the prices just about the same. We were thrilled with the asiatic lilies we bought, and they are thriving after we repotted them.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh (Lawrenceville to be exact) but as with most people "back then" as soon as my parents could get out of the city they moved to the burbs - that was in 1963 - pretty much the only garden center I have used since then has been McTighe's. All around great and no I am not a relative or long time friend - I don't even the people would recognize because I am an in and out shopper. Spend your money wisely - spend it at McTighe's. I and not a "review poster" either, but I am a night owl and just woke up in the middle of the night thinking about heading there tomorrow or Thursday to pick up some dogwood trees - hope they still have some nice ones in stocks because I don't want to have to run around everywhere trying to find nice ones. I don't get on Route 8 much, but whenever I do, I always notice this place. It just looked so lush and packed full of greenery! And I was not disappointed with the selection. I ended up with two beautiful hanging baskets of unique orange begonias that I've never seen before. I was also happy to receive super friendly service from the workers as well. While I do think the prices are higher than a big box store, sometimes I think it's just better variety and service at a local shop like this, which I'll choose any day!

Love this place! It's not the only nursery I use, but the selection is great and all my plants from here have done well. They really tend to their plants and there is always someone to help, if needed (but certainly not in a pushy way, which I've found elsewhere)

I've tried to support this small business but ever since they reopened after their COVID closure it's been one rude staff member after another. I understand labor shortages but after 4 tries with bad experiences I'll take my business elsewhere. Their selection is also not what it used to be.

This is a great garden center! I have been gardening for more than 30 years and regret that I had not discovered their business sooner. The flowers that I purchase from them are hardy, beautiful and last much longer into the fall than flowers I have purchased from other centers. I look forward to do some fall decorating using their gorgeous collection of pumpkins and gourds.Service always courteous and helpful as well, prices fair.

Great place but parking is difficult and at times a little dangerous. Excellent customer service. Prices have gone up quite a bit but we still love the place! Everyone is friendly.

I love to "nursery hop" around town looking at plants and picking up more for my gardens. This is one of my favorite places, they get new inventory regularly and unlike box stores they actually take care of their plants. They have really reasonable prices and the best selection of clematis at any nursery around. There are a couple gentleman to answer questions but I found the kids that work the checkout are just there for that. Regardless, i highly recommend going!!

Great family owned business,plants are cared for appropriately,excellent selection,price competitive.Plants grow reliably unless eaten by deer or neglected.
