Mayfield At The Capitol Hotel

Lunch was delicious and our server was top notch. She helped with recommending what we should have, which did not disappoint. The pendulum room has a great feel, including some fun wall decor. Give it a try!

Definitely my favorite restaurant in all of PA!On my last year's visit to PA we were here about twice a week! Such a beautiful environment, friendly employees, and FABULOUS food!! I have tried a number of things here but u have to say the underhill sandwich and whipped feta bread are my favorites! That being said I truly don't think you can go wrong with anything you get here! Definitely my go to spot for my favorite fresh summer food! I always have the kindest most personable service here! Mary and Rachel are the best! The ambiance of Mayfield's is super adorable! An artistic and eclectic boho provides such a comforting dining experience. The pipe room is also available for those who enjoy the night life of Holidaysburg! Mayfield's is definitely my go to spot for a quick coffee or lunch with friends/family whenever I'm in PA! :)

My favorite restaurant in Central PA! I love trying all of the fresh, seasonal dishes and soups at Mayfield when I'm in town visiting family. They have a great variety of sandwiches and salads for lunch and truly something for everyone (including lots of options for vegetarians like myself). During my most recent visit for lunch, I had a grilled sandwich with fresh mozzarella and tomato and the purple potato soup special and they were both so so good. I've been craving the purple potato soup ever since! The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the renovated restaurant has a great funky/vintage vibe that honors the extensive history of the Capitol Hotel. I really couldn't recommend it more!

A quaint place for brunch!! The food is spot on, and the prices are very reasonable. On a busy holiday weekend, I waited about 30 minutes for a table. The wait staff were attentive. The food menu denoted vegetarian and gluten free options. There are little shops nearby to visit and plenty of street parking.

Went to dinner on a Saturday night on a spur of the moment and had no wait at all. We ordered a seasonal item, which was the pan seared scallops with sweet potato curry, sautéed spinach, rice and quinoa. This dish was perfection! The scallops were seared perfectly and complemented the sweet potato curry really well. They also served warm rolls with an herbed butter that was delicious. Our waitress was prompt and courteous. The food came out quickly. We will definitely be back again to try more of their dishes.

The entrance of the restaurant is a bit strange, but I implore you to give it a chance. We sat at the bar, we ordered drinks. I ordered an Old Fashioned, but it tasted like a Manhattan... it was okay. We ordered the calamari & it was fresh & delicious. I ordered the scallops, my husband ordered the white cheddar burger. I loved my scallops, they were perfectly prepared. My husband also was really impressed with his burger. I look forward to returning, but next time I want an Old Fashioned please.

This was a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was very attentive and considerate. They accommodated my gluten free needs. They had great seasonal menu choices. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend this establishment.
