We love Massart's. It's a family run business and you feel good coming in here. The pancakes are our personal favorite. Try the potato pancakes if they have any left. Anytime we're in town, we're hitting this spot. Bring cash and over tip your waitresses, they deserve it!

Massarts is a surprisingly good little dinner style place a bit off the beaten path, but easy to get to. If you are driving thru on the turnpike or headed in or out of the city, the food and prices blow away any chain restaurant. A little family run restaurant with Great home cooked food and great prices. They are worth a little side trip off the highway.My wife and I went here to try it because of a rave review of their pies in The Triblive. Well, I don't know that I'd trust the reviewer's advice... the pies were the least impressive thing we had. They were ok, but nothing to brag about, and generally not available until lunch.We had pancakes, I had bacon and an egg over easy. The things I loved were the fact they serve real butter and real maple syrup. And the bacon was thick and well cooked. I'll definitely be back when I am in the area.

Had an early dinner here recently. My Dad got the seafood special & he said it was fresher & tastier than the Joe's Crab Shack he had the day before. The waitress was very friendly & said she would pass along my Dad's compliments to the chef. I got a bacon cheeseburger & it was on the small side, which is perfect for me. My Mom got a side with her burger, so if you're super hungry I'd go with a double burger. I can't wait to go back to try the seafood! It's little diners like this that I hope make it through COVID-19.

Cash only. The food is really good though and the coffee is great. I really enjoy some diner coffee and fresh pancakes though. Also their gravy fries really hit the spot.

Best. Pancakes. Ever!Ever find a "best kept secret"? This is one of them. Nestled in the middle of Tarentum, nondescript, nothing fancy...but if you want an absolutely terrific breakfast with a side of super service...well, you go here. This is the sort of out of the way gem you almost don't want to publicize, because you don't want to popularize it to where it loses its charm and gets too crowded. Oh...keep in mind - cash only.Order as you wish...but always get the pancakes. They are just way too crazy good. I took a friend there this morning. She couldn't finish the pancakes. How often do you see someone take leftover pancakes home? Yeah...they're that good.

Never been at a restaurant that serves pancakes and French toast and didn't have any maple syrup available to its customers. Their home made syrup wasn't to my taste and was only available to eat my eggs and left the pancakes on the plate because it was un edible to me. BIG disappointment.

The food was pretty good. Typical breakfast food, pancakes, omelets etc. The service was great. Very attentive

Great burgers, fast service, good price, friendly workers and management. I look forward to trying the spaghetti on Thursday

Long waits only one cook that's super backed up , the food was pretty good but walls are dusty cobwebs need to clean better . Best pancakes if you can get past the not clean environment and long wait times it's a gemAlso no credit cards accepted but you can use the atm next door that charges 4 dollar fee so that's helpful

Very good and affordable!Service is always very good,and friendly.Haven't had a bad experience yet,and have been coming for years.
