This small, cash only ice cream shop is well worth the stop & your money! The inside is very tiny. Only a few groups/parties can fit inside at the same time. The line moves so fast, though, and there's a good amount of seating available outside. They have a huge variety of flavors offered and the quantity and quality is more than worth the price you pay (which is very fair, IMO). I ordered the Mississippi Mud Swirl in a size small and the ice cream was double the size of the container. So delicious! The only downside is parking is a little tricky. I went behind the building, down the side street a little, and there's a huge lot for the strip mall back there that you can park in. I'll definitely be back more this spring and summer.

The Ice cream was amazing, lots of options flavor wise. I felt like the ice cream I got and I saw it from many others was that it wasn't that cold. It was melting by the time I got it and forces you to eat it way faster than planned. The serving sizes are big though so it's worth the money! A bit small on the inside but plenty of outside seating. Cash only and excellent local service.

Delicious ice cream and huge sizes. I loved all the unique combinations and different flavors. My son loved his treat but it was so big it melted by the time he could eat it all. My only suggestions is to have a kids size. But regardless we will be back for another "Party Animal!"

A friend recommended this place for great ice cream. Well worth going. Portions huge, should have gotten small size. Delicious chocolate lovers sundae. My wife got monkey in the middle. Will try their hard ice cream next time.

We went here because another local place closed early and MA's is open until 8. It's a cute place next to a church that looks like it used just to be a regular house. It has fun colors inside that feel very ice cream shop-like. They have an extensive menu, including hard ice cream, sundaes, and "twists" (like Blizzards). Since it was my first time, I didn't know what to go for, so I asked the person taking our order. She was nice and helped me pick salted caramel chocolate-covered pretzel. It's a mouthful to say and a mouthful to eat! I initially asked for a large, but my girlfriend said, "no way, it's way too big" to which I replied, "I'm pretty big" (I'm 6'1"). So I compromised with a medium, and it's HUGE!! I could tell the ice cream itself was well made because it was so tasty, and the toppings made it a home-run.

Stopped here for ice cream recently and really enjoyed it. The setup was in a cool little house. Workers were super friendly and working very hard with the current crisis. I went with the strawberry pretzel. It was a really unique and different flavor. The ice cream was creamy and delicious. Would definitely stop back!

I read about this place in my local flyer and decided to check it out. Finding no website I was able to track it down on Facebook and off I went. The store is inside a charming house with outdoor benches and a gazebo to unwind in. As far as indoor seating is concerned there is only a small bench. The sell both hard and soft ice cream along with your traditional fare. I saw they are known for their banana splits but was blown away at the size you get. They accept cash only and if you want a cone it has to be a cake cone since someone was turned away for a sugar cone.I got there when it opened at 2 and believe me this place was jammed pack in no time! The hard ice cream they sell is from Galiker's. Although it is not made in house it is served in huge portions. When my turn came she told me the smallest size they had was a mini kids cone which is what I should have gone with. A kid's cone is one generous scoop. I decided to go with the raspberry truffle flavor and for $3.50 I must have ended up with a whole pint of it in my cup! There were at least 4 generous scoops!I was really afraid that it would melt in the hot summer heat but since they had just pulled it from their freezer it didn't melt as fast as I thought. What store bought ice cream lacks in quality it surely makes up in quantity. The ice cream was indeed very good but really no much different than you would get in a grocery store or average ice cream stand. Still for the price you can't go wrong.I also noticed that they have changed their hours to include afternoons now that school's out for the summer. Located in the quaint little town of McDonald, PA this ice cream store is top notch for quantity at a very low price! I am hoping to return with a friend so that we can tackle a banana split together! I didn't get to see the size of their Sundaes but I'm sure that are huge and very reasonably priced.

My family and I have been coming to M.A.'s for the last few years. Portions are gigantic. Never order anything but a small. Smalls are huge. Everyone has always been very friendly. This is cash only and there is no inside seating. They have multiple picnic benches outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream. We've enjoyed cones, sundaes, and milkshakes. All were very good. They have both soft and hard ice cream. M.A.'s is in downtown McDonald and certainly worth the trip for this seasonal business. It is a sweet treat!
