We came here the day after Christmas for lunch. It was recommended by a local and we were hoping for a delicious, quick lunch. Maybe because it was the holidays but they might have been short staffed. It took quite some time to receive our food but we got a basket of breadsticks to munch on while waiting for our entrees. The kids menu pizza is a pretty decent sized pizza and comes with a cookie. The fried zucchini was loved by all and served with a side of horseradish sauce. It was flat slices of zucchini that was breaded. The zucchini still maintained some structure so it was not super greasy nor floppy like in some places. Breadsticks have a hint of garlic and they were warm and soft when they arrived. The crab rangoon pizza was sampled and loved by all. It has a crab dip, crispy wonton strips, and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce (it's sweet and barely any heat). Definitely need to try their pizzas here. The crust appears thin but holds up well, even with leftovers. The adult grilled cheese is very flavorful and filling! It comes with a dipping sauce. I eat a lot and filled up with just half the sandwich (but I did have fried zucchini and a couple breadsticks while waiting).

Marzoni's is my family's favorite go-to restaurant! It's usually easy to get a table, and the staff is always great. We enjoy their craft beer, which you can take home in a growler and is a good gifting idea! As a vegetarian, they don't have a ton of food options for me, but their pizza is great and I love the Cajun pasta (I order without meat).

I really can't believe this happened here. With all respect due, everyone knows your not supposed to buy steak unless your at a steakhouse. With that said, I just had the best steak that I've ever had in Altoona right here at this place! I ordered the 10 oz. sirloin and had them prepare it medium. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! Cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly to my liking for sure. Just can't believe how delicious it was.

The first time I ordered they couldn't find the order and in the system. So I had to wait another 20 mins for my food. The second time I ordered they didn't put ANY cheese on my pizza. Literally mind blown. I've never had a build your own pizza with NO cheese. It states the base of sauce and cheese blend so idk why they didn't put any cheese on it...I wish I had a pic.

I definitely prefer the duncansville location! There food was delicious! I can't wait to go back to try more. They have some very interesting dinners that you don't find in a lot of restaurants. Also pizza is a big yum! Our waiter was on point! I'm ready to come back!

Casual (unpretentious) place good for beer and fries. Not busy, but busy enough to feel social. Good food, pretty "neat."Amber brew is a good quality beverage.

The pumpkin beer is some of the best I've ever had! It's smooth and doesn't have many spices. The crab dip and Italian nachos are untouched. Great food. Great beer.

What a neat little restaurant for Altoona to have. Even though it is technically along a busy throughway, it is still tucked away and you don't feel as though you are in the middle of such business. While out with three indecisive people it is hilarious to pick a place to eat at. Which was the case for us on this fine day. After taking a nice trip around the countryside we decided it was time to eat something. After a bunch of "I don't knows" and "I don't cares" we ended up at this place.Marzoni's is a small regional chain that kind of bills itself on Italian fare with a few other things thrown in there. Maybe you could call this a pub even with the kind of foods they have to offer here. You walk in and are greeted by an old car sitting in the area and then when you finally reach the main area you are greeted by a large bar area with seating around it. The overall theme in here is sports bar meets microbrewery. Once seated and with menus in hand we were off to the races. This is where things started to lag at those races, our server. Not sure what was going on with him, but he was not having the best day of his life. He approached our tables and took our drink orders and then disappeared for a bit. Once he did reappear we placed our food orders and played the waiting game.Once food finally started to come out we didn't pay much mind to the server. For an appetizer I went with Fried Devil Eggs. I have never had them before let alone heard of them, but I decided I would give them a try. Nothing more than coating the white portions of a hard boiled egg and then dipping them quickly in a fryer. Just enough to give the coating a nice crunch. Then you just fill that with the yolk mixture and you are all set. They used some of this yolk mixture to create a base for the eggs to sit on so they won't roll around on the plate. They top the yolk mixture in the egg with some crumbled bacon, green onions and paprika. You can eat these with your hands if you want to, but I decided to eat them with a knife and fork to keep my hands nice and free of a mess. I was pleasantly surprised that the crunch of the coating didn't throw me off. However, the yolk mixture may have needed a little more mayo or something as it is was a bit thick and the yolk taste kind of took over your palette. Meanwhile our entrees arrived at the table. In this interaction our server asked if we needed anything. We asked for refills (which we did end up getting) and extra napkins (which we did not end up getting). For my entrée I went with the Fish and Chips they had on their menu. I have come to a liking of fish and chips recently and will give it a try just about anywhere I go. This entrée consisted of a large filet of fish coated and fried perfectly, tartar sauce, side of chips (fries), and a side of slaw. The filet was amazing. Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside. Pairing that with the tartar sauce is a no brainer. Odd, because I hate tartar sauce any other time. The fries were fresh cut and appeared to be fried twice to give it that extra crunch. And the slaw was quite amazing. Nice cool piece to this meal. Overall the food was kind of great. Our server, yes back to him, however was not. I know he had to be having a bad day. We could hardly hear him as he was talking way too low for us to hear him. He never brought us the extra napkins, I ended up heading to the bathroom in hopes of being able to wipe my mouth after the meal. And the worst thing he had happen was spilling a whole tray of drinks on another customer. Yikes, sounds like he should have called out that day.
