Stopped here while in the area for dinner. This had been on the list for awhile, and able to finally get here and try it. Kind of a cross between a sports bar with TVs and projector screens, as well as dark walls and dark wood dining. It was pretty quiet when we were there - kind of weird being a weekend evening, We started with some appetizers: bruschetta, steak egg rolls, and fried pepperoni. The bruschetta was good - executed properly and textbook. The bread was toasted but a soft bite - just the right amount of tomato and balsamic. The steak egg rolls were also very good - had a kick with cherry peppers inside. Comes with ranch as a dipping sauce. The fried pepperoni was different. The breading struggled to stay on the pepperoni but it was good overall. For my entree I went with the red chicken parm. It comes with pasta (billed as made fromScratch) and red sauce. There were two hamburger-sized chicken pieces, breaded with cheese and a small amount of sauce on top. I felt like the cheese on the top was scarce - should be more. Upon first bite, I was throttled with the flavor of salt, heavy heavy salt. I tried the other piece and the same. I don't mind salt items but this breading reminded me of overuse of the chicken seasoning pack in ramen, and was just over the top. Pasta was ok.For dessert - since I didn't eat much of the entree, I went with the chocolate cake. Holy hell it's massive. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was immense. Cake was good - though kind of dry at times. Our waitress was nice - attentive and responsive to us throughout the meal.Would try again - I would say really this is closer to a 3 than a 4 but. Whichever.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marilyn's on Main in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The restaurant has a modern bar and a large dining area with a comfortable atmosphere. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. We started our meal with fresh, crusty garlic bread that was thick and full of garlic flavor. My meal was the Abe Froman pasta bake, which was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the homemade sausage was some of the best I've had and the sauce was packed with flavor. There is definitely enough for 2, as I had leftovers that I enjoyed for breakfast the following day. I would definitely recommend it to others! The prices are very good for the portions you receive. The service could have been a bit quicker. We had to wait a while for our food to arrive, and our server was a bit slow to refill our drinks.Overall, a very good experience and I would certainly return the next time we're in town.

Service was sooo slow. We had reservations at 5:00. No one was in the dining room. It took an hour to get our food which was just ok- the waitress was polite but not very informative. We will probably not be back.

Stopped by two nights in a row as we were in the area visiting Ohiopyle State Park. A local spot open late with menus for various dietary restrictions. Large cocktail and beer menu with several local offerings. Open late. Friday night there was great acoustic music from a duo on piano and guitar. We were lucky to get a table in the middle of the dining area with a great view. Huge servings. While it wasn't my favorite style of classic red sauce, the gnocchi was clearly homemade and fresh. The barramundi was served with delicious green beans and well seasoned potatoes. Really enjoyed my boulevardier and the screech owl brew was great. Finished the night with a huge heaping slice of chocolate cake - enough to serve 4!The next night was a Halloween party in a Saturday night. Another local band. Lively and much younger crowd. We stopped by for a quick bite. I had the fried mozzarella, think seasoned mozzarella sticks in rounds. Gooey stretchy cheese of dreams. The burger was served with shoestring fries. Except to sit a while. Enjoy the local food scene and come with an empty stomach because you're sure to fill up.

Just awful, from start to finish. How can you screw up a grilled cheese sandwich? By forgetting to add the requested bacon and tomato, then taking forever to remake it? By giving back change from a $100 bill in singles and fives, after an interminable wait? Clueless from beginning to end. Too bad, because it's an attractive space.

We were in the area and someone recommended this place for dinner. The place looked friendly. The large TV screens had on a woman's wrestling program - unfortunate at the best of times and certainly so for dining. We asked our server if it could be changed which she thankfully did. Our server, Rachel, was cheerful, efficient and helpful- we left her a well deserved 25% tip.Three of us actually ordered the same dish - chicken parmigiana- an unusual situation. The fourth got a pasta with lemon and pesto. All the dishes were tasty with large portions. We ended sharing a very good dessert. We had various drinks to wash down the food. The meal came to a total of about $160.We recommend this restaurant for decent dining.I would give it an overall 31/2 stars- the fourth is for the personable service.

After arriving at the Summit Inn for an2-day stay, we headed downhill to Marilyn's on Main for dinner. Reception- and Yelp- confirmed it was a good choice, so off we went.Located on the main drag of Uniontown- Marilyn's has a neat brick interior, multiple tv's, and a bar. Clientele was respectibly civilized, wait staff was good, but the menu on yelp has been replaced by a more simplistic, bar-food themed menu. We were a little disappointed by this, but with fortitude weathered the change and made our order- a steak and shrimp salad for the wife, and a pesto pizza for me. The salad came quickly, but the wait staff- as in "you are going to have to wait for your food" harbingers of bad news- stopped by 3 times to assure me the pizza was coming. Apparently, it needed more oven time, but when it did arrive, apparently, it needed more time. Truth be told, it was bad. Dough wasn't cooked, and cheese/pesto consistency was pretty gelatinous. Thankfully, the waitress comped the pizza due to the wait- for which I was grateful- but I took the box of leftovers out of kindness. As my father in law Rod would have said, "If I didn't like it once, why would I eat it twice?" Wife's salad was fine. Uniontown clearly needs to maintain its eating options intact, and Marilyn's has the right location, clientele, and ambiance. Maybe an off night in the kitchen, and my order was the anamoly....

Went with friends who were not aware of menu change to mostly bar food. Only 4 scallops, green beans in a lemon sauce for $39? Will not order again. Boneless wings were like small grilled nuggets, not a value even at HH prices.....Enjoyed chopped salad, though, and raspberry beer. Lexi was not aware of beer menu, so we had to point it out to her....just needs a bit of training!

Slab bacon appetizer almost put me in cardiac arrest because of all the salt! Buffalo Hot wings were Uber bland and undercooked. Server was nice and did her best.

Stopped here for dinner as we were in the area. The old building the restaurant is in was cool to look at. Lots of old stone and wood for the restaurant decor. We had a party of 4 and were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress Lexi was nice and took care of us throughout our time there. We started out with the buffalo chicken and spinach dip for an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious the combination of the two dips was amazing! We all wished that they served more naans with the dip.For my entree I ordered the white chicken parmesan. The risotto was good nice and cheesy. The chicken didn't seem to be the best quality of meat and was a little burnt from the broiler I'm assuming. Two of the other guests in our group weren't too happy with what they ordered either. One ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and he said "it's a pile of pasta with sauce that taste like ketchup" I had a good chuckle at his critique. My niece ordered the gnocchi with meatballs and said it was mediocre at best. She mentioned that the meatballs were good, but it was hard to tell if the gnocchi was stuffed with anything. I would come back just for that dip! Maybe we just hit this place on an off day?
