Margarita King Grill and Cantina

Felt welcome and at home from the moment I walked in. The place was fairly empty on a Sunday night and I opted to sit at the bar. The bartender and the runner were both amazing!! The margaritas were great, they have my favorite Casamigos tequila on deck for very cheap. The highlight of my meal was the Chorizo Cheese Dip I order it at almost every Mexican place I go to and this was probably the best I've ever had!! Fajita taco salad with shrimp was okay but every thing else about my entire experience more than compensated for that. Will definitely return again when in the area.

The food was just mediocre. We both ordered the dinner with 4 Enchilada's: ground beef, chicken, cheese and the last one was empty ‍, we thought maybe there was supposed to be refried beans but we couldn't see any. The enchilada sauce was definitely from a can. The cheese wasn't very good quality. The refried beans were definitely from a can. I ordered a small side of guacamole, it was warm, the top of it was darkened and it had a sour taste to it like it was old. I hope I don't get food poisoning from it. The salsa with the chips was watered down and was flavorless. What was good was the chicken inside the enchilada. Do I recommend it for it's for food, no, I do not recommend it.

Stopped in for dinner this Sunday evening. Server named Liam did an excellent job! The food was fresh and tasty. Red Bull margarita was great as well. Worth a stop while shopping at the outlets! Walking distance as well!

Look not amazing, but very very solid mexican. Have lived in Az since the late 70s .. This place would do very well in our east mesa community. First the service was very good. Waitress was pleasant, and prompt. Second the drinks were excellent. No i did not order an old fashion. Don't expect them to make my standard drink, but did get a Margarita. One of the best i have ever had. Finally as i mentioned the food is quite solid in its own right. FINALLY, the bill was very reasonable.Not sure what the negative reviews were thinking. Perhaps they caught a waitress on a bad day. We are on a motorcycle ride from Seattle to Boston. Just happened to stop in because we stayed at the Comfort Inn next door. We were so lucky.

Being from Southern California, I have pretty high standards for Mexican food, and this place has some pretty darn good food. I've had the chile rellenos, ceviche, and enchiladas, loving them all. I wasn't super impressed by the guacamole, especially given the price and portion, but the house chips and salsa are yummy and are included with orders. Others I know have had the taco salad, nachos, and quesadilla, all of which have seemed to be fully enjoyed. All in all, a darn good place!

Margarita King Grill and Cantina is part of the complex at the Comfort Inn - BUT DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU! The food is extremely good, reasonably priced and served promptly by friendly waitstaff.The place was busy! It's popular with local people and it draws a lot of business from the motel. Our waiter was very friendly and he really hustled - we didn't have to wait long for a table and our food was served quickly.EVERYTHING was very tasty!!DON'T PASS THIS PLACE BY!!

This was a great new restaurant, but the quality was lowered. Owned by the folks at Compadres, the result wasn't a shock. Sad that a great place was opened and quickly ruined.

Free parking all around the restaurant. Dine Al Fresco if you'd like. We were immediately welcomed by a member of the team who was with outdoor patrons on this fine summer day. We chose to eat inside the (dark, polished woody) interior. Found comfortable booth seating, and a bar. Everything was clean: no crumbs or stickiness. Rest facilities were clean and stocked too. We were presented with complimentary, warm, freshly-made, crispy tortilla chips and a delicious salsa full of fresh cilantro as soon as we took our seats. Our friendly server, Hailey L. gave us time to peruse the menu and order beverages. Our pitcher of virgin frozen Margarita was refreshing. I ordered a wonderful taco salad loaded with warm, pulled chicken. Delightful!We finished with filled bellies and satisfaction.

Came for the lunch special. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. The portions were a good size for lunch. We came right at opening so the place was empty but there were TVs to watch

Solid 4 star "Mexican" restaurant. This location has changed restaurants several times over the years and is now a 4-star+ Mexican restaurant.Entrees are $2-$4 more than most of the other Mexican chains, but I felt that the quality of the food at Margarita King was a bit better than most.Reasonably food allergy friendly and well suited for chorizo-lovers. My veggie fajitas were superb and would . We all liked the salsa.Service on a Wednesday afternoon was pleasingly friendly and prompt. This place will remain on our radar as a go-to stop along I-79.
