Margaret's Cafe

Open tables, inside dining March 2021 (covid) for lunch. Ate the hot roast beef sandwich fries, gravy on all with a side of slaw and fresh brewed iced tea. Everything was very good, seems homemade. Roast was shredded pot roast not deli meat. Gravy was thick and tasty. Fries aren't fresh cut but still extremely good, a little crisp on the outside made them hold up while smothered in gravy. I'll def be back. Very affordable. Clean, following protocol for safety. Staff is friendly. They take visa card.

As a local i need to tell you that i love it here so much. The staff is so kind and cooperative that almost our WHOLE school musical theater will go there after we perform and they're so awesome. I LIVE for their jody fries!!! Burgers are great, delicious fish sandwiches, 1000% recommended.

Great food, great atmosphere. Definitely has that "family feel" that always makes you feel welcome. Spacious dining room, social bar area and clean restrooms. My wife, mother-in-law and I came for lunch and tried a variety of menu options. It was wing day (50 cents each) with 28 flavors...uhhh, yes please! Highly reccomend- HUGE wings very fresh. Wife has a grilled chickeb salad and my MIL had the giant fish sandwich minus the sandwich. Great visit, we'll be back!TIP: see Natalie @ the bar for lunch/dinner on Tuesdays and thursdays . She's awesome!

We visited based on the other Yelp reviews. I'd say the food was good, not great. Pricing is comparable to what you'd find at any other casual sit down restaurant. Portions were pretty good. Not huge as described by a previous reviewer. I'd come back if I were traveling through again. Getting here felt like you were going to Margaret's house. Inside though, the restaurant is fairly large.

Margaret's is one of those "hole-in-the-wall" type places that you can not judge by its exterior. Located in sleepy Toronto, OH, this place serves up some of the best food around - and at ridiculously great prices. I am sure my dad gets tired of me asking to go to Margaret's every time I come to town to visit.The food: I have typically gone with their salads or their fish meals and both are outstanding in terms of portion size and taste. The fish sandwich and fish dinner provide you mammoth portions of fresh cod, and come with a delicious side of fries. Cole slaw also comes with the meal as a bonus. The salads are not for the faint of heart and will leave you full by the time you finish (if you finish). I have always gone with the buffalo chicken salad and have yet to be disappointed.Margaret's also serves beer - in bottles and draft - and has a bar portion separated from the restaurant-only portion. Both areas have flat screen TVs, and the place is a Browns/Indians bar in a predominantly Pittsburgh-centric area (major plus).Parking is sparse out front on the street, but more exists in the rear of the building and to the west of the building in an open parking area across the street (best bet for open space).You wouldn't suspect a great restaurant to be in the predominantly residential area in which it is situated, but the trip out of your way will be greatly worth it - from the food to the service, I have always had a great experience at Margaret's.

Stopped in due to the reviews. Traveling to Akron and wanted to try something new. All were right, great food and place!!!! Portions are HUGE! OMG!

Margaret's has an amazing breakfast every day !!! A great place for friends to meet for a drink, and a great dinner !! Zak and Amanda are the best in the kitchen !!!

Great neighborhood Restaurant with great comfort foods and HOMEMADE COOKINGS! A great place to wind down after a long day at work! Family Friendly, and the service is fast and super friendly. Server Hillary, who's so great in making your visit here like your family that you will definitely return for your future dining experience! I'm glad I stopped in for sure..

Great place to eat. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. The cod chunks are great. The food is homestyle with a decent variety on the menu.
