Mamma Cheez

A crown jewel in Washington, Pa. From their pizza, wings, subs, dinners, everything is great here. A favorite of mine for many years. Nothing fancy, but the food is excellent! Today, a half Steak and cheese, with grilled onions. Always a fresh roll, real steak, seasoned well, juicy, and tender. I add skin on fries, and a side of yummy Onion Rings, a great meal everytime!

Definitely a hidden gem located off of the Jessop Place exit in Washington. There is one table inside, but this place is really just for pick up and delivery. The pizza is very doughy (do not expect a thin n crispy crust) but you can tell the dough is home made. The sauce is sweet, but I love a sweet pizza sauce! I got the "regular" wings which I'm guessing by the yelp pics, that's their signature sauce. I really liked them, but my husband wasn't a huge fan bc they have a sweet heat. The regular is not buffalo. My husband also got an order of spaghetti and meatballs and they were just okay. So go to Mamma Cheez for pizza and wings, not the Italian entrees.

We have been getting pizza delivered from Vocelli's and we really like it but it seems so expensive that we decided to try something else. Mamma Cheez had good reviews so we ordered a large pizza for delivery. The service was excellent both on the phone and quick delivery. Unfortunately, the pizza really wasn't that good. The crust was kinda "doughy " or chewy. I wonder if it would have been better if it had been baked a little more. The sauce didn't really appeal to us either. Different people have different tastes and it may suit others better than it did us. Again, the service was great.

Ordered a calzone and a half mushroom pizza. The stove was super welcoming super cute inside and the pizza and calzone are fire.

I ordered delivery today, and can't wait to order again! The person who took my order was kind and courteous, and the food was delivered within less than 25 minutes of ordering. Both the Stromboli, and the steak salad were super good. This seems like a staple of the area, will be my new go to when I'm in Washington.

Probably my favorite takeout joint in Washington. Mamma Cheez is ALWAYS good, quick, and delicious! Love their white pizza, salads, and steak hoagies. Everything is awesome! It might not look like much from the outside, but they are serving up awesome food.

Stopped by this place for the first time for lunch. I called in my order and when I arrived I was a little thrown off by the building. Doesn't look like much from the outside but once you get inside the employees and food make it worth while. We ordered a ton of food - Steak Salad, Medium Pepperoni Pizza, Half Steak and Cheese, and a whole meatball and cheese.I assume the lady who answered the phone was the same woman that took care of me whenever I got there. She was super nice and threw in a 2 liter of soda because "we met the quota"The food was all really good and had huge portions. We definitely got our money's worth! Seems to be more of a takeout place than dine in. They only had a few small tables inside. I would recommend giving them a try if you get the chance!

The wings are dry and overcooked. I leave a comment on their facebook so they delete the comment and ban me from their fb page. I called and the manager told me I should have asked for "once cooked" wings because apparently if you don't you will get wings that were cooked twice. He said this in all seriousness as if I should have expected to get old wings that they threw back in the fryer to reheat and serve to customers. And here I thought I can expect "once cooked" wings aka FRESH, because with the prices for take out and delivery food these days no one should just accept below par cooking practices like this. As if you double cook your wings on purpose because you think people like dry crunchy wings. Please, you were serving me old wings and reheated them.

First time ordering from Mamma Cheez. First, arriving outside my hunger increased due to the aroma coming from inside. Waiting for my order there were nonstop drivers coming and going with multiple orders each. Guy behind the counter said he took phone off the hook to allow kitchen caught up on orders. Got steak and cheese hoagies and fried cauliflower . Hoagies were huge and tasted great-alittle peppery for my taste, but really good. The bread was really fresh, BTW. Fried cauliflower was done perfect. Price was reasonable and will definitely will be ordering from here again.

Really great pizza and friendly staff. We've picked it up driving back to Ohio from Pittsburgh several times now. It never disappoints. So yummy. Don't let the interesting location deter you.
