Mami's Bakes

Mami's Bakes offers exceptional baked goods that are simply delightful. I tried the cafe con leche mini bundt cakes and key lime mini bundt cakes and both were outstanding. They were incredibly moist, beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. Even those who are not typically gluten-free loved them. You can taste the care and love that goes into every bite--highly recommended for anyone gluten-free and anyone with multiple allergies. Noel is able to handle many allergies. He also explained the care you take for storage and freezing the items and related the interesting history of his Cuban-inspired bakery and credits his Mom for his inspiration. Mami's bakes is owned and run by Noel M who operates it out of his own home. All baked goods are vegan and gluten free. Normally you order online and then set a pickup time at his house on the weekend. I was fortunate to run into Mami's bakes at the Carnegie Farmer's market where he had a booth set up.I liked being able to see his collection of sweets in person. For the holidays he has created different "baked pies" that contain apples, pumpkin, pears, and tofu. All items are made without preservatives meaning you must consume them within 1-2 days or otherwise freeze themI had previously had his vegan brownie which was outstanding so this visit I purchased a chocolate chip pumpkin bread, a Cuban coffee cake, and two fried pies. Since my son is vegan I normally buy for him so he can enjoy these treats however, I got the pumpkin bread for myself.The pumpkin bread was sealed with a food sealer so when I got it home I dove into it. You can taste the chocolate chips in it and the bread is so soft and so moist that you would hardly know it was vegan. My son previously had one of Noel's buckeye brownies and a Chai cupcake. He thoroughly enjoyed them.In a city where there is little vegan places Mami's bakes certainly fills the bill here. Noel has been to Vegfest to promote his baked goods. I've been thoroughly pleased with my purchases up to now and am looking forward to seeing his Christmas offerings. Mami's bakes has an online ordering sit where you can place your food orders. The business home is located in Carnegie.Noel does take the time to answer any questions and provide you with guidance as to storage and reheating his baked goods.

The gluten free, dairy free Apple Cider Bundt cakes and Chocolate Bundt cakes were very good. I will be ordering from Mami's Bakes again.

I recently used Mami's Bakes to provide some gluten-free vegan options for my daughter's baby shower. Although everyone was not gluten-free and vegan that attended every single person that tried the desserts from Mami's Bakes absolutely loved them. We hired Noel at Mami's Bakes to do cookies for our wedding rehearsal dinner and they were amazing! Everyone thought they were so delicious and had no idea they were vegan and gluten free. The red velvet cookie was totally amazing. We also ordered mini banana bread loaves for our wedding welcome bags and got so many compliments from guests! Noel was so nice to work with and took time for phone calls to make sure everything was perfect. We've also done orders just for fun or for holidays which have also all been delicious. Some of us in my family are vegan, some gluten free, and it's so nice around the holidays to be able to pick up something delicious that everyone can eat. This year we ordered the coffee cake for Christmas morning and it was a huge hit, soo delicious! The cuban coffee cake is also insanely good!

Mami's Bakes came to my town of New Kensington recently. I had to cut gluten out of my diet for medical reasons less than a month ago and have been so discouraged because I cannot find any foods that I love without gluten. When I saw their stand set up, I almost cried tears of joy! I got 2 brownies and 2 sugar cookies and they were the best baked goods I have ever had - gluten-free or not! I will be coming back regularly to get some gluten free treats. I would highly highly highly recommend that everyone check them out.

Delicious! You couldn't tell that these wonderful baked goods accommodate so many dietary restrictions. The quality and flavor are top notch, not to mention lovely customer service. Try the cafe con leche mini bundts, they're a personal fav :)
