Mama K’s Kitchen

We tried Mama K's and didn't regret it! It was a bit "hipster" for hubs but he survived it and enjoyed his food. He had the pasta with meatballs and loved the meatballs, but felt his pasta was a little undercooked. I tried the hot pepper toast (with ricotta, peppers, and honey.) Delicious! I ate all three without hesitation, and still managed to put away some of my pasta with vodka sauce too. It was so flavorful, and my pasta was perfectly done. The interior is small but if it's not crowded it's a nice place to eat. Plus most will have a leftovers to take home!

I have been here several times now. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious, the food arrives fast and the staff are so friendly. Their meatballs are amazing! The dining area is cozy and the whole place is very clean! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The ambiance is minimalist--which I personally like. It's kind of like you're sitting in the kitchen at someone's house watching them cook and banter with each other. The server was genuinely nice--not fake--just warm and welcoming. The food was a 5. We'll be back.

The food is more sophisticated than the name of the business indicates. My boyfriend and I got the Lemon Zucchini and the Sausage Broccolini to go. It was plenty of food for two meals and so good. Both were entrees which we had never eaten before. The lemon zucchini recipe includes rigatoni, parm and walnuts - so refreshingly different for Italian food and great for a warm day. The sausage broccolini had a nice variety of flavors and a peppery kick it it. The meatballs that we added onto the order were the stars of the show though. They rival the meatballs from Muriale's in Fairmont. Service was great and quick. The ambiance was just right - not fussy but comfortable seating. We will be back again soon! Parking was easy - just follow the signs to park behind the building.

Yes yes yes!!! Mama K's is my favorite restaurant in town. Some of the best food and the best vibes.
