Major Stokes

Thanks to previous reviews I found this art gallery eatery. I ordered the creamy pasta with spinach and tomatoes it was creamy, fresh and very filling. My accompaniment had the chicken Alfredo which was good as well but both just needed I tad salt. My eyes feasted on the artwork will my mouth feasted on the plate before me! Btw, pretty plates! Our waitress was very friendly. I was able to find metered street parking right in front of the restaurant, however, it was Monday afternoon. As far as cleanliness, it didn't smell very fresh when I walked in but the tables, floors and cushions looked clean. The chairs did look like they needed a good scrub!

Business hours vary each day of the week so double check before showing up or make a reservation in advance. It was a very casual atmosphere which is what we needed after a full day of outdoor recreation. On the Saturday in August of our visit, there was indoor seating in the bright natural light dining room with live music starting at 7 o'clock, seats at the bar in the dark bar room, and tables available outside in their courtyard. The service was friendly. The menu had pasta, tacos, seafood and steak so a whole gamut of food options and price points. It's a gold certified sustainable restaurant.

Super interesting place in Westmoreland, PA. They make their own burbon, gin and vodka creations which are truly delicious. I liked the salted caramel burbon!Menu has all the hits from tacos to salmon to steak, even vegetarian. Live music and events throughout the week. Can't wait to come back!

My coworkers and I were on a work trip and wanted to go somewhere local to dinner. A quick Google search brought us here.This was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. We sat on the patio and Jojo was our server - she was such a sweetheart. I ordered a gin and tonic with infused watermelon cucumber gin (delicious) and the chicken italiano. Chicken was seasoned perfectly, pasta side was incredible, roasted vegetables picked from their garden were delicious. My coworkers got the filet, wagu beef tacos, and the seasonal sweet and sour salad. Everyone left satisfied and happy. So much so that we not only recommended all of our other coworkers to go here, but we came back two days later. When we came back, we ran into our coworkers at the bar. We sat outside on the patio and had another incredible meal once again served by the delightful Jojo. I had many more gin and tonics with infused gin and the wagu tacos. My coworkers got crab cakes, the chicken italiano, and filet. Everyone was once again satisfied and happy. It came to closing time and Jojo locked up the front door, turned on the patio lights, and continued serving us. She let us stay out back talking and drinking for 2 hours past closing. It was such a delightful night and I cannot recommend this place enough. Service was incredible, ambiance was wonderful, and the food was delicious. My coworkers and I came from out of town but we all expressed the desire to come back, have another incredible meal, and see Jojo again. It was only after the first time we went that we realized the important work Major Stokes does for the community. The sustainability efforts and work they do with nonprofits is extremely commendable and only made us love them more.I don't write Yelp reviews, but this place was so exceptional that I had to.

There's a few parking spots right outside for pickup, which is usually what we do. The place is super cute and eclectic, they have a patio which I'd love to see when the weather is nicer! We have gotten take out twice now, both times have been really good. You can taste the quality ingredients for sure. I ordered the California chicken grilled cheese (without the aioli, I know shun me!) but it was awesome. Flavors worked very well together and every ingredient belonged. Would order again with a soup next time! The service here is awesome, everyone I speak to there is always super nice. It's quick to order and get your food and they have a little takeout counter so you're not fighting the bar crowds to pickup.

Major Stokes is a phenomenal find with delicious infusion cocktails & a fun menu to create a memorable meal. The art is nice to check out while food is prepped and the service is excellent

Nice little find here in Greensburg cozy little patio and our waitress Jojo was awesome ... the mojito is pretty good as well... they are very dog friendly which is a bonus for me and my pup.

The service was great. Food was very good .. could have been warmer though . I had the crab cakes they were very good , liked the sauce over them. Very cute place !

Lovely setting, good food and friends this is the place to come to. We had chicken dish, friends had stuffed ahi mushrooms.
