Maisie's Pizza

Picked up a Sicilian. Fresh crust but was bland and not a lot of cheese. Was good but underwhelming for the price. Could have ate half a 16 cut myself as was a light pizza.

Maisie's Pizza is a family-owned and -operated restaurant that opened in 2008. Their foods are available for pickup and for delivery within a 4-mile radius. Menu items include not only pizzas but also appetizers (e.g., fries, jalapeño poppers, and provolone sticks), salads, hoagies, pepperoni rolls, strombolis, calzones, gyros, wings, etcetera. Prices are reasonable.On a Friday afternoon, I ordered food for delivery. I did not see online ordering, so I placed my order over the phone. An employee immediately answered the phone, and he took my order and credit-card numbers. About 45 minutes later, an employee delivered the foods to me on time. He made pleasant conversation about his fun, gigantic pen that I used to sign the receipt, and he said, "Thank you!"Here are my reviews for the foods:Maisie sticks - 4 stars - The online menu describes these Maisie sticks as "thick soft garlic breadsticks with dipping sauce," but the ones that I received were topped with cheese. Did I receive the wrong breadsticks? Well, they tasted good.Cheddar-steak hoagie - 4.5 stars - This hoagie typically contains steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, cheddar cheese sauce, but my husband requested no green peppers. The employee correctly made the hoagie without the green peppers. I saw lots of steak and cheese. As my husband ate the hoagie, he said, "Yeah, I like this thing!"Pizza with broccoli - 4.5 stars - I had requested a small pizza with thin crust, but the crust looked more like regular crust. I had chosen a topping of broccoli, and I thought that the employee used a good amount of fresh broccoli. I enjoyed the flavors of this pizza.Garlic wings - 4 stars - I had ordered wings in a garlic flavor. Perhaps I should have chosen a spicier flavor, because my husband described the garlic as the "plainest ever." These wings were cooked well.On the menu, I saw "Jocey Bites," but I did not ask the restaurant what they are. Does anyone here know what "Jocey Bites" are? Thank you!

This is an incredible hidden gem and the best pizza around! You would miss Maisie's even when you know it is there because it is hidden in the middle of the strip mall but they have the best pizza, subs, and appetizers around (I recommend the fried mushrooms or zucchini). Every thing is fresh and handmade. I have been a customer here for years and absolutely love them!

Great pies and quick, friendly service! We grab the daily XL cheese special and pair it with an app for a meal the feeds the whole family!

I pass this place every day going to PowerHouse gym. I was really craving pizza and did a quick Yelp search. I generally go to another pizza place up the street. Wow! This pizza hit the spot. I called 20 minutes before a Steeler game, thinking it'll take forever, it was done in 15 minutes. Was already ready when I got there. Super fast service. The pizza was full of flavor; the cheese was delicious, sauce was tasty, and dough had a buttery taste to it. It was literally cooked perfectly. Bottom crust and everything was the right golden color. My new go to spot for pizza. Yes a small is small, but I would have eaten an entire large if I order one....

My go to for a Pittsburgh salad in the north hills. I always get the grilled chicken with ranch and add some sriracha rather than get the deep fried Buffalo chicken tenders which are more standard. Pizza is pretty solid value but the salad gets the 5 every time. Staff is always friendly both on phone, in person, and when delivered.

Hang on, lemme finish chewing.... OK, so Maisie's Pizza in McCandless is the shizz. Had a Meats pizza and Damn! This pie is all the things. This joint is a hole-in-the-wall, y'know like all the best places are - and it's straight-up DUNKING on the pizza game. VERY impressive. In irony, it's like DOORS away from another (puny, mortal) pizza joint, silently laughing all the way. After that first bite, I had to take a good look at the pizza like "where's all THAT tasty coming from?".Seriously, it's the most ordinary-looking pizza, but the crust, sauce and cheese are just PERFECT! The bangin' tomatoey acid from the sauce off-setting the *really good* cheese, sitting on crust you can eat naked. It's just... pizza. But it's GOOD pizza - and that's rare.I don't know who Maisie is, but damn, girl... (*enter innuendo here*) LOL! I got your number baby. Om nom nom!

First time customer, here and I'm so glad I gave this place a chance! I stumbled across Maisie's as I was searching Yelp and was shocked at how many reviews were actually 5 stars and how few unsatisfied reviews they had. From reading the comments, you can tell that they have a loyal following. I knew I had to try it out. My family and I all had a craving for a good, solid hoagie. We wanted to try somewhere new and not fall back on something we've had plenty of times before. It was Maisie's turn to step up to the plate....and they knocked it out of the park! 3 things stand out about their hoagies: price, ingredients and serving size. They are cheaper than a lot of other places, they're made on Mancini bread (absolute gold), and not stingy with the ingredients. Those hoagies were packed! On top of serving an excellent product, the overall service was pretty pleasant. I called to place my pick-up order and the woman repeated everything back to me and never once sounded rushed. She took the time to do everything the right way. Kudos for that! Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the pizza on my first visit. But I'll be back in a week or two to do exactly that! Maisie's gained a new customer, tonight. JOB WELL DONE!

Had the XL cheese pie special. This was a great pie. Second day tasted just a good heated up. Never knew the place was there in shopping center. Will go back and try some other items real soon.
