I didn't expect pierogies, but in Western Pennsylvania, perhaps I should have!

After moving my daughter into her dorm we ran some errands realizing we hadn't eaten anything since early breakfast. So we saw the diner and thought to give it a try. We walked in 40 min before closing. They were busy which was a good sign. We waited to be seated. It took a little bit to order but we got it in. We then waited and found out the they were out of turkey for my turkey bacon club. We substituted ham for the turkey. We sat a bit longer before the food came out. My sandwich was fine (but the fries weren't seasoned) and my girlfriend's omelet was good. My daughter didn't like the chicken in the chicken Alfredo. The chicken was awfully bland. The staff really seemed intent on leaving as soon as possible. Some left before we were done. We were the next to last customers in the restaurant. The restaurant staff were fairly friendly just focused on the cleaning while we were there eating. We sat there longer because we weren't handed a check. I think we might have a different experience if we walked in earlier in the day. Although it shouldn't matter when you walk in to an open restaurant.

Want some amazing diner breakfast made to perfection? STOP HERE!!! Ordered the blueberry hotcakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, homefries, and OJ. Hubby got hotcakes, bacon, and homefries. Fried potatoes - homefries - better than dessert!!! I could have made a meal out of those potatoes. I kept eating even after I was full just for the tastiness of those delicious taters. Mouth drooling just thinking of them. Hotcakes were delish too. Scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs and were yummy. The bacon was a bit lacking in flavor and the OJ was from concentrate. So those could have been better. The gal who greeted us was sweet and quick to seat us. Our server was very polite and attentive. The diner really gave that old time diner feel - cute signs, booths, tables, and a counter by the kitchen window. I will definitely return to this place for more delicious breakfast!

Great little local spot!Stopped here for breakfast with M'Lady. Nothing fancy here, the clientele is dominated by seniors. But the breakfast was outta sight! Pancakes, light & fluffy. Home fries were perfect. I mean perfect. We home-fried ourselves into a food coma.Coffee was from Howe, (obv, we're in Grove City here) and it was very good diner coffee. I'm a coffee guy and Howe is a great coffee company. I'm guessing this is not Howe's best or worst blend. Overall a solid compliment to a delicious breakfast. The only neg was the bacon. It wasn't terrible but wasn't good either. Bacon is easy and should be salty & decadent. This was borderline tasteless. Not enough to take off a star on the review, but I still kinda want to.

This is a classic diner in every sense of the word. Believe me, I have been to diners in every corner of the US, and they are hit or miss. This one delivers. Booths--clean and cozy. Coffee--diner adequate. Which is just what you want. It is hot, fresh, and plentiful. Omelettes--unbelievable. So damn good i could hardly believe it. I had the meat-lovers--obviously an indulgence--but in the past month i had had a Western, a Greek, and a ham and Swiss omelette at various breakfast places, and had begun to think that noone could cook a g-damn egg anymore. Main Street knows. And they served up perfection on a plate, no lie. Rye toast was fine. Potatoes were actually excellent. My partner's blueberry pancakes were superb. And the best part? The clientele, drawn straight out of the best frank capra film you have ever seen. I loved the place so much i would move to Grove City--not exactly a metropolis--just to eat here on Saturdays. I love you, Main Street Diner. Please be there when I get back.

The dining room is very comfortable and attractive. I felt like somebody put a lot of effort into the menus describing items nicely. They make a big deal talking about their home fries on the menu. When breakfast came out I had mixed feelings. I felt like I was eating good quality ingredients that were competently prepared. Unfortunately, both of our omelettes and both of our home fries were very bland. I reach for a salt shaker at a restaurant about 4 times a year and this was certainly one of them. The potatoes has seemingly zero salt, pepper or other seasoning. For sure if you are hoping for some flavor, try the 'loaded' home fries to get cheese and peppers added. The 'swiss' cheese on my omelette was almost certainly 'swiss style American' cheese. I did appreciate that the mushrooms were fresh, not canned. If your expectations are for simple, honest diner food in a well take care of space with friendly familiar servers you will be happy here.

Food was above average, service was ok and the overall scene was cool but felt a little crammed. The burger and fries were on par and the taste was great . Would not recommend either the steak salad or the salmon. Felt a little forgotten at times when I had to ask for a straw and a refill from the waitress. The place felt clean and the decor made it feel like a home almost which was a nice touch. Would recommend if you're looking for something nicer than fast food but not amazing quality.

A couple of months ago, my husband and I stopped to try out this restaurant. We went because they offered Fried Chicken on their menu. I have been looking for a place that served this since we moved to PA back in 2017. The chicken was delicious and service was good. I knew we would go back! This past Saturday November 23rd, it was my birthday, and the diner was where I wanted to have my birthday meal. When we arrived there was no wait to be seated. We were seated right behind the cash register area. This was during lunch time and they were not very busy. No one came to ask us for our drink order. I looked around and saw 3 waitresses just standing around and talking at the back of the restaurant. After about 25 minutes, my husband asked the cashier if a waitress was going to come to our table and she was surprised no one had. While she was gone to check on a waitress for us, a family of 6 came in and were seated right behind us. They were waited on almost immediately. The cashier came back to us, said our waitress was in the bathroom, and asked if she could get our drink order. I told my husband I did not want to stay after this happened, so we left. I really did like the chicken but not enough to ever want to go back there, after receiving that kind of service. Doesn't matter how good the food may be if the service is bad!

I agree with other reviewers that this is a classic American diner--and with upgraded food, courtesy of its Greek-American family owners. Got off Route 80 to stop for lunch on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Nice hometown decor. A friendly and efficient waitress served my husband a good omelette, and me, superb pierogies. I followed with a yummy homemade pumpkin pie. All very fairly priced. I realize this is just one experience, but it was enough for me to "favorite" this place for our next cross-Pennsylvania trip.
