Better Pad Thai than Thai Me Up. The portions on all their dishes are good for the price. Quality and taste itself is good too but not go out of your way good if you don't live in South Side. Their pork boa buns are too much dough and maybe a table spoon of filling, Takoyaki not much flavor going onIt depends what they're feeling for their 1-5 spice level because sometimes a 2 has been spicier than a 4 for meInside is a tad nicer sit down vibe. Very Asian Americanized vibe going onWaiters were always nice and when we would go slam sake their they always had a blast

Really wanted ramen takeout & had never tried this place. I didn't end up liking the ramen ordered however I did really like the Chicken Lo Mein. My boyfriend enjoyed his Thai Friend Rice. Service was good too, they were fast and she gave my boyfriend a free Sprite!

I think the rating is too low for this place! I actually quite enjoyed some of the food I had from here. The menu is super broad and has a ton of variety. I tried the pork buns and pad Thai.Seeing the name, you may think their specialty is noodles. I don't think so! They should really be renamed to Mad Bao or something because their pro buns and dumplings are what actually stood out.The bun was so fluffy and had the perfect amount of casing to meat. The meat was well cooked, tender, seasoned well, and just all around delicious. Perfect crisp on the outside. And, a pretty nice savory sauce too, but that wasn't anything crazy. I would really recommend trying one of their dumplings. The pad Thai was not as good. It was a big portion, yes, but quality wasn't the best, and it was a tad expensive. It had a strange sugary sauce, almost like sweet n sour noodles. I just wasn't the biggest fan of this pad Thai. All in all, I quite enjoyed this spot. If you come here, you definitely need to try the buns or dumplings!

Ordered Chicken Pad Thai tonight via Uber Eats. Holy moly it was so damn salty I ate three bites and had to toss it in the trash. What a waste of $$$.

I got Mad Noodles for takeout recently after wanting to try their food for quite a while. I ordered the vegetarian steamed dumplings and hibachi fried rice w/tofu. I had a bit of a hard time ordering non-meat options from the online menu since a lot of the items didn't have descriptions, but it ended up working out fine. Both the dumplings and rice with tofu were big portions and tasted great. The dumplings came with a special sauce, but I ended up eating them with soy sauce instead. The rice and tofu had a nice, unique flavor unlike other fried rice and tofu I've had. Would definitely eat here again!

This review is solely in regards to Mad Noodle's new sushi offerings, I am not taking their noodle or Chinese dishes into account. Note that I grade on a bell curve, so a 3 is a "fine / OK". In terms of food, I ordered their salmon poke bowl, and taro boba smoothie. The boba smoothie was great, I don't have any complaints. It was sweet, plenty of boba, boba was chewy and flavorful, not hard, rather large portion. Priced at $6 is the upper end of what I would expect for a boba drink, if it was any more expensive then I likely wouldn't have gotten it.Their poke bowl does not have the typical flavor profile you would expect. The rice is the let down here, it tasted like plain medium grain steamed rice from a rice cooker, without any rice vinegar. Their crab mix uses a sweet / savory mayo (doesn't taste like Kewpie to me) it was also not spicy at all to me. Seaweed salad is the same everywhere, same with cucumber and edamame, they were all fine. They also include some kind of sesame-ginger dressing in the poke bowl which I was not a fan of (similar to salad dressing). The sauce they coat the fish with is a thick combination of likely eel sauce, soy, maybe mirin and a little sesame oil but I'm not 100% sure. It does cover the taste of the fish which I am not a fan of. Didn't have any issues with the actual fish itself from what I could taste (didn't taste fishy at all), but it wasn't a rich and buttery salmon like you'd get at a 5-star place. Very large portion of food, if you are interested in eating all the rice. It's definitely bigger than a JJ Poke or Pittsburgh Poke bowl, but I prefer those options. It's priced at $15 before the 10% promotional discount, which is relatively competitive pricing wise. In terms of ambiance, Mad Noodles is a hole in the wall restaurant on Carson street. Based on my experience in the restaurant, the majority of people were getting take-out or delivery (doordash or grubhub, etc). The restaurant layout isn't advantageous to this. The restaurant's building is long and thin, meaning when you walk though it, you're going to walk relatively close to tables that guests are dining at. The table where to-go orders are picked up is in the center of the restaurant, meaning carry-out customers need to walk through the entire restaurant (past everyone's tables) then talk with a server in the center of the restaurant to pick their order up. The noise isolation in the restaurant is also not great, there are very high ceilings and the restaurant is very echoy, meaning you're going to hear the conversation each delivery driver has when they come in and pick up their order. There's a sushi bar right at the front of the restaurant which would be a better staging area for these interactions. If you are eating in the restaurant this may be something that matters to you. Definitely don't sit on the benches on the right side of the restaurant between the order pick up table and the sushi bar. Many people complain about wait time, it took me around 15 minutes to get an order while dining in, which is expected (am not complaining). I think they may be having wait time issues in other cases due to the number of carry-out / delivery orders the business does, which may not be visible to other guests dining in.Sushi is a very competitive market, you have Pittsburgh Poke, JJ Poke, Kura revolving sushi, Nakama and Little Tokyo all within a 2-10 minute drive. Based on my ratings, I don't think this place is better than JJ Poke (5 stars) or Pittsburgh Poke (3.5-4 stars), I think its on-par if not a little worse than Kura (3 stars) and Little Tokyo (3 stars). I have only tried one item on their menu, so your mileage may vary if you order a roll or a-la-carte sushi pieces (nigiri or sashimi). I may return in future to review those options, or get carry-out like most people seem to do.

We came here on recommendation of one in our party who'd been here multiple times. Good choice. Service might be average but the food was great. Portions big with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Salmon poke bowl, vegetarian poke bowl, Korean japcheau noodles, pork bu, and crab rangoons were all splendid. We were stuffed and our tastebuds tickling!

PLEASE READ: AVOID this place at all costs. Expensive for quality of food (garbage), bad service, and HORRIBLE food. I usually don't leave this type of review but I was so dissatisfied with this food I want to help others avoid this terrible place. This place was TERRIBLE. I ordered a large takeout order for my family for Christmas. Ordered pad Thai (soooo salty and terrible), crab rangoons (freezer aisle crab rangoons at a grocery store would be better), steamed dumplings (tasted like dirty water and nothing else), among other things. PLEASE AVOID! You would get better food at a run down Chinese buffet, I promise you.
