M&P Coney Island

This place is a little gem ! Almost everytime we come down here we stop here for the fries and the hot dogs! Amazing service everytime

Been going here for literal decades, one of my mainstays for local dining. Quality never changes. The vibes have changed a little over the years but that's okay. They didn't take cards until, like, 2017, so I'm ok with at least a *little* shift in the vibes. Chili never fails to disappoint, and that's all that matters, really.

I think this location has the best in chili sauce in of New Castle. Why three stars then? Not sure what's happened over the years but eating here on a very regular basis I can offer some observations. Biggest issue I see repeatedly is when the owner or owners son, not sure if the son officially owns the store but, when he IS NOT THERE the service and quality is often not the same. When he IS there the hot dogs are consistently better as far as being fresh, the entire hot dog is covered in sauce and the fries are hot with plenty of sauce on them. When he IS NOT there almost always the hot dogs are half to three quarters covered with minimal sauce and fries have been borderline cold only warmed up from having sauce on them. Love their version of sauce, quality not consistent. Worth stopping here and hopefully the owner will be working when you stop.

I'm giving this place 5 stars. Firstly because they still have cherry pop. They still have the best chili dogs and chili sauce ever. I just started working in the area and am overly excited to see Coney Island is so close by to my new work. I ordered a cheeseburger and a cheese fry a small cherry pop and chili sauce to go. Amazing as ever! I still appreciate small businesses like this and the food and customer service was outstanding, I am however confused that there's tipping jars on the counter for the workers. I did tip but it must not be shared tips because the girl took my dollar and put it in another girls cup, whatever, it must be just during COVID-19.

Nice little place to get a chili dog! I'd survive if I never went back to this place but it was enjoyable. The dogs were out within minutes after I ordered. The only problem was they were not hot, just kinda warm and room temperature. The cheese had no chance to even melt a little bit under the chili. Chili had a nice kick, needed a little salt though. The cheese was just sprinkled on there which is fine just not my first choice. Overall it's a cool little place to get a hot dog and spend only $4 bucks on a meal. I can't complain about the prices!

Sometimes its the simplest food that makes you the happiest. There is nothing fancy about Coney Island but it is so satisfying to get a couple of hot dogs and a drink for lunch for under 10 dollars. The chili is great and has some nice spice to it. A great place for a quick lunch that won't break the bank.

While tasty the hot dogs are quite small and the average adult will need 2 for a meal. The chili dog had the right amount of chili and the Chicago dog was good, even if there were more toppings than hot dog. The fish sandwich was good but came with nothing. No condiments, no lettuce, nothing. Overall not worth the money.

Cold food no sport pepper hot dogs and chili barely warm. Pretty bad. Bad. Bad. Poor bad ack

Stop and got hot dogs yesterday and chili fries brought a 12 ounce of chili sauce to go for 4:95 got home weight it was 8 ounces instead of 12 what happened to the other 4 ounce of Coney sauce ?

I went mostly for the nostalgia factor. The workers were pleasant and polite which is always appreciated. I had the chili cheeseburger and fries with chili cheese sauce. The chili was good. Better than some, as good as others. You get a mountain of fries so certainly value there. The cherry soda was confusing. Not what I was expecting and not very flavorful. They've been doing this for 100 years so props to them.
