Love this little place as I'd first ventured here at the beginning of the century . REALLY . . It's just a basic little luncheon type / dinner restaurant with a classic atmosphere ( it's Cory and that's the usual feel of this town ). The owners are extremely hospitable and make sure you're cared for quite well .

Terrific Ukrainian home cooking from a Russian grandmother. Something you won't find much at all outside of a few neighborhoods of New York. Just be warned that you probably won't be able to finish a meal unless not eating the rest of the day.

Was down in that area for a Lemon-cello tasting. Saw this on the wall up. From the outside I knew this was prob gonna be pretty good. I was right lol! Went in and was a bit dark but greeted quickly. Only one worker and she took the orders and got the food ready. Food arrived and was so delicious! We all got something different and we all tried each other's. I personally love random places to eat at that I wouldn't just drive to every day to eat. This is one of those places.Notes: it's older and a bit dark inside. Do not judge the food by the appearance of the place. It takes a while to get the food. Not 30 mins or an hour but it does take time. She was the only person there when we were there.

Well... It is dark. It is empty. It smells musty. There is no air conditioning. In fact, one could say it looks abandoned. But, the pierogies are really good!! The pizza was just ok.

I'm all about greasy spoon diners. I don't mind having to wipe watermarks off a spoon if the soup is good. The total lack of basic housekeeping and hygiene were just too much to deal with. The dining room was thankfully dark. The smell of an unplugged commercial cooler that hasn't been cleaned since ribfest 89. It wasn't an in your face kind of stink but once you notice it that's all you smell. I had simple potato and cheese pierogies. They arrived hot and slathered in buttery sautéed onion. So good! Firm but not heavy filling. No complaints. Drinks were flat as it comes. They may have served us coke syrup and tap water. I didn't see them pour it. Steak hoagie was half a steak-um for a full size bun, wilted lettuce, no peppers, no onions, day past expiration mayonnaise. Two bites in I gave up. Get the rogies to go. Take an airborne before you pick it up.

Just had lunch- I have passed this place many times and decided to check out the pierogi's. Can't believe what I have been missing. I had the pierogi's with haluski and kielbasa- added a little salt and it was amazing.I have to admit when I walked in my wife was a little skeptical- dark lighting, a little dated decor. For me-that's a sign the place is going to be good. The potato pierogi is stuffed solid, the noodles are home made. Mmm-'mmm good.

Worst tasting sub in the burg. I threw it away and will hit Micky D's. Stale bread, dry meat, and an empty restaurant. Stay far away.

I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food and service definitely need to be improved. They gave me the wrong flavor of pierogies. The stuffed cabbage was filled with rice and fat and very little meat. The borsch must have been made a week earlier because it tasted bland. I will not return.

Worst, and I mean worst gyro and cold fries of my life. Cucumber sauce was so sour it rendered my gyro inedible. Should have known better, the place was vacant at 5:45pm and the phone never rang while we were there. My complaint was met with a shoulder shrug and no apology or offer to correct. The Heinz ketchup bottles have been refilled so often that the caps are filthy and the product is multi colored. Avoid this disgusting hog wallow.

I stopped in Lviv on a whim this evening and ordered some takeout. I'm glad I did. I ordered a #1 (haluski, stuffed cabbage, and pierogies), a #6 (haluski, pierogie, and kielbasa), a side of sauerkraut, and a meat chebureki. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. Best haluski and stuffed cabbage I've had. Don't tell my family. Huge portions. My gf and i ate as much as we could and we have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. We will be going back, and I will be telling whoever will listen about it (including strangers on yelp) I can't wait to explore the rest of the menu.
