What a great date night! We came here for dinner for two and were treated with exceptional kindness. We had reservations and were sat right away. We were on the back patio which was enclosed and heated. We got fried calamari as an appetizer, followed by the spicy shrimp pasta and braised short rib pasta. While it was some of the best restaurant pasta we've had, we feel it was slightly overpriced which is the cause for 4.5 stars. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out VERY quickly. We would definitely return here for another date night!

This review gets five stars from me solely on the merit of the sticky toffee pudding. It is incredible. I am tearing up and salivating as I write this reminiscing on the perfection that was that sticky toffee pudding. I went back a few days later to get more of it. It is that good. There is no hyperbole or exaggeration. Came here with Noted DC Yelp Elite member Daniel R., and we were so excited to see each other and share a meal. We got some appetizers: zucchini straws and calamari. There were pretty good. I got the Panko stacked chicken for my entree and was happy with the portion size and flavor. The appetizers and entrees were good, but not life changing. Unlike the sticky toffee pudding. My life began the day I tried this. The ambiance was intimate and cozy, and the service was wonderful. Our waiter remembered me and laughed when I came back for more. Come here. Try the sticky toffee pudding. See the light. Thank me later.

Very intimate ambiance. Limited menu but we liked everything we got. The service was very good. I wouldn't bring my kids here though.

Dinner here was such a treat! We (party of 2) arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday and were seated immediately with no wait. It did get crowded throughout the evening, so I would recommend making a reservation if you're able. Our server was incredibly friendly and found the balance between making us feel cared for, and giving us time to enjoy our meal. The wine/drinks list was expansive, and our server had great suggestions for mocktails as well. Dinner itself was filling and reasonably priced for the quality. While the Spicy Tiger Shrimp pasta left a little to be desired flavor-wise, it was still delicious. We found lots of options that sounded great on the menu, and need to return soon to try some more! Leave room for dessert; we were too full and it was painful to pass up all the wonderful sounding options.

My best friend and I thought we would treat ourselves to a nice night out tonight. First, the service was EXTREMELY slow. Our server apologized to us multiple times about him being so busy but it did not appear there were many patrons in the restaurant. We sat outside so it kind of seemed like he just kept forgetting about us. He checked on us 3 times total in a 2 hour and 15 minute time span. My friend even went inside to ask him for the checks after he came to our table and said "will that be all today?" And we said yes... 20 minutes later, he never came back so she went inside to find him.Secondly... (this is the bigger issue)... our entrees were not good. Our server told us our food was "being plated" 30 minutes after we ordered. 20 minutes later our food showed up. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu (the filet). I ordered my filet medium. It came out well done and tough. I notified the waiter when he checked on us 20 minutes after presenting our food and told him it was well done and completely tough and he sent "apologies from the kitchen". My friend's tuna was hard and not easy to eat either. She barely ate any of her food and didn't take it to go because it was that bad.We told our server we were very displeased. We still ordered dessert because we wanted something sweet. The cake was very good.I'm not sure what happened but nothing was done with our meal. No one came out to talk to us, which is poor management for a fine dining restaurant, and they took the cake off our bills which ended up being a whopping $4.50 total on each of our bills. I'm conclusion...I liked the cake. The filet was awful and I didn't even get offered a new one. We won't be back again unless something is made right. We are very disappointed.

I was excited to try the restaurant with my friend Claudia, a famous Pittsburgh Yelp Elite Squad member! We had a very nice time and would recommend this restaurant. We started with some very tasty bread with Parmesan olive oil. It was a great kickoff to the meal. Following that, we shared calamari and zucchini sticks. Both appetizers came with delicious sauces, but I wished that the appetizers came out a bit hotter and crispier. The Panko stacked chicken was the winning entree, served on a bed of delicious couscous. The jumbo shrimp special, sadly, was a letdown. The shrimp were regular sized, and the three shrimp in total cost $36. I was disappointed on that one for sure. Luckily, the desserts ended the meal on a very high note. The raspberry sorbet was tasty, but the sticky toffee pudding was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It belongs on the best desserts list in Pittsburgh without a doubt. You may even want to order two.The service is very friendly, although food does take a long time to come out. The restaurant is also very cute with a covered indoor-ish patio. If you're looking for a cute Pittsburgh restaurant, this is a great choice!

I would not recommend this restaurant. At this price point, we expected better food and better service. It is a very cute little restaurant, with nice outdoor seating, but nothing that we ate was memorable and some of it was quite bad. Appetizers were lukewarm, a bit meh in flavor. Main courses were probably the weakest part; chef overcooked the proteins. Service was fairly slow and not particularly attentive or professional. I'd save your dining out dollars for a better place.

tom & i went back for mother's day. it was so worth the 2nd trip! i asked for the banquette sitting again, unfortunately, there were too many big parties. it was ok cuz i remembered him saying they had cushions i could use. i asked for them & they turned out to be great! better than the banquette sitting! we even got the same waitress we had a few weeks before, & she remembered us! her name is stevie. she was attentive then & this time. there was a special menu. tho some things are consistent. like the bisque tom had & the beet salad i had. both had us excited for the next course! tom got the sesame crusted tuna, & i of course, got the wellington! he said the tuna was delicious. my welly was well worth the wait! tender beef inside. you could cut it all with a butter knife. in the end, tom got coffee & i got the bread pudding. it was pretty big, but i managed to eat it all! so good!can't wait to go back again! maybe on a less crowded night.

Owner was nice, but dressed way to frumpy in old jeans to be greeting patrons on NYE. My brother had the Cod, which after tasting it, I agreed was rather bland, and a little watery. The broccolini was inedible, hard to eat, and tasteless. I had the shepherds pie which was good. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 10, which fell far short of our expectations for the cost!

I'd like everyone to see how the OWNER treats his customers. My wife was not feeling well and we unfortunately had to cancel our dinner reservation. The owner replied with an incredibly rude and insensitive message. He does not know what type of illness, disease, or condition my wife may have, and how serious it is. To respond in that fashion is completely unacceptable for the owner of a local business. Hopefully he thinks twice next time before being disrespectful to a guest and thinks of their perspective first.
