I love seafood and I always feel like I have a solid meal at Wholey's Alaskan grille. It's great for larger groups and for happy hour. The service has always been fine, and they also take reservations. My only complaint is the sushi was disappointing. I had shrimp tempura and it was more fried breading than shrimp. Maybe it was just the cut I received? I probably would not get sushi again, but I love everything else!

Wholey's is a solid spot if you're craving seafood (or Bloody Mary's, for that matter -my mom and I love their spicy bloody's!)Dishes I've had before include some of their sushi (they have a great Philly roll), shrimp cocktail (flavorful), and oysters (solid). It's nothing mind blowing but it's definitely a reliable spot if you're in the area and craving a good seafood lunch or dinner.

I recently went on a date to Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille. It's been a while since I've been there but everything is just as delicious as I remembered. My date made a reservation and we were seated right away. We started with the Maine Mussels (choice of Bianco wine sauce or spicy marinara). We went with the spicy marinara broth. They were really good, and the broth had a little kick but wasn't overall spicy. For our entrees, I ordered the shrimp and scallops and my date ordered the English style broiled Atlantic cod. Both of our entrees were really good. A small critique is that my date mentioned that the cod could have been broiled just a little bit more. Overall, everything was delicious and the service was wonderful as always.

Food was bland and the sides were clearly made hits ago and then plated. Server was pleasant but not very attentive. And what's the deal with the lighting? Ridiculously bright. A disappointing experience.

We went here for a family birthday party and had a private room and it was everything! The sushi tastes high quality and it's worth every penny. The lobster bisque might be one of the best in the Burgh as it's not too salty. The crab cakes taste like this is what the standard should be and they were frozen. Freshness seems to be consistent here and I loved every second of it. I was very impressed with the quick service as there were so many of us at the table.

I always have a great experience here! Whether I come for brunch, lunch or dinner, every thing has always been up to par. I love the bloody Mary's at brunch. I think the lobster roll is great. I've been eating a ton of them in Boston and this one in Pittsburgh is pretty close to those in my opinion. I've had a little bit of everything and would recommend if you want a relaxed vibe for seafood. Service was attentive but not rushed. Overall another great meal.

Super yummy, friendly, nice atmosphere, good options, good portions, good service, and comfy! This place was an awesome place to go for a birthday dinner for someone who wanted crab legs, but still wanted everyone non sea food eater to be able to enjoy!

The calamari was nice, I should have been warned it was an overpriced kids meal; 4 mashed potato's, 4 shrimp, and 4 asparagus in gravy --I believe that was the shrimp volcano? And grilled salmon. It could be better, the ambiance is a bit stale but convinced myself it was convenient.

A friend and I stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner on a December warm and sunny Saturday, a very busy day in the Strip District. We stopped in about 2:40pm with about a 35 minute wait to be seated. We gave our phone number for them to text us when ready. giving us time to continue shopping. The menu held many options we both were interested in. In the end, we both opted for the Grinchmas cocktail of pear vodka, schnapps, and pineapple with the coloring true to that of the Grinch. Nice and refreshing.Next we both opted for the same street taco combo of a mahi mahi taco and a Baja shrimp taco, both in a flour shell. They were huge and filling.Lastly, dessert. Of the choices of a chocolate mousse, creme Brule, and key lime pie, I took the mousse and my friend the key lime. The presentations were so eye appealing and no complaints on the taste. Our server was attentive and helpful.
