Absolutely delicious. Mixed it into shredded cabbage to top my pulled pork sandwiches using the challah hamburger buns.

This is a hip little cafe + grocery store + sit down restaurant hidden in an old strip mall. It's a little gem of fox chapel. People are friendly, food is good- albeit a little expensive. I bought a few breakfast things and a coffee- the breakfast sandwich was excellent. The biscuits and gravy were mid; the breakfast flatbread was ok. It was cool that the whole store was locally sourced.

Very impressed with Local Provisions. The store is tucked in a strip mall, but the store itself definitely doesn't have a strip mall feel. We decided to come here and try their brunch menu. You order at the cashiers station, get a number and they bring the food to you. We shared the breakfast flatbread and donut holes. Both were top notch. The flatbread was delicious. Every ingredient stood out - from the sausage to the Boursin cheese. The crust was nice and crispy. The donut holes were made to order and came out hot. They reminded me of the zeppoli from DiAnoia's, but might have actually been a tad better. Hot, soft with a little crunch, and flavorful. Prices weren't awful. The flatbread was $17 but could be shared by 2 people. I will definitely be back to try some other things.

Congratulations Brian and team! I have been wanting to come here for a while now, and I'm happy today was the day to share the experience with a groupf of friends. The market is set up with some award winning Pittsburgh known recipes from Penn Mac to Sunseri, to other iconic families around the area. Great menu, fresh and local ingredients!!

A friend recommended this place and I finally got out there to try it. On the surface, it's a unassuming little storefront in a strip mall. But inside, it's clean and bright and inviting to the point where you'd definitely forget you were actually in a strip mall space. To start, the little store that takes up the front half of the space has all kinds of good stuff. They had not only the standard bottled and jarred specialties and shelf stable items that you'd typically find, but also a lot of grab and go fresh items from local purveyors and farms. I didn't spend a lot of time there, but I would plan to do that next time. The restaurant part is in the back of the space. It's fast casual, which I do not love, though sitting at the bar, we were allowed to order with the bartender. My companion got a chicken bowl that was substantial in size and very fresh looking. She enjoyed it and I thought it looked good. I ordered the turkey sandwich, which is something I NEVER order because I usually find it so boring and dry. This was everything but. This sandwich was fresh and interesting, with a pickled rhubarb that offered it a little something different that was really welcome. I do wish it had come with a smattering of fries or a small side though. To get fries, you have to order this massive pile of them and I just didn't want all that. Service was prompt initially and throughout the meal. Checks were presented immediately after I declined a wine refill. We paid out, but continued to sit and talk. I could probably have used a water, but the server never came back after that. All in all though, I like the place and would look forward to returning.

I want to love this place so much! The concept is perfect and the dishes I have had were great, but they continue to lose me by not paying attention to dietary restrictions. I always have to call to ask about ingredients... which prompted them to start including them on the online menu, but they still seem to miss the point by not including all the ingredients that need to be shared. Today I called to confirm if the butternut squash soup had chicken stock. She checked in the kitchen and YES! It does have it... I thanked her for checking and mentioned that it's not listed online and she kinda blew it off and hung up. it shouldn't be this hard to eat out

This is a store with a cafe front is packaged goods including local ice cream and some frozen entrees. There is a center ordering counter surrounded by tables and a couple of booths in the back looks very inviting came in for some lunch The sandwiches might be tasty but I decided to just get myself a cinnamon bun and some ice tea so much ice in the tea it was ice with some tea I should have known when the person who took my order asked" if my bun was to go?" told me the bun would taste better heated. Sadly the bun was almost hard as a rock see the pic it even looked old.oh well the folks eating there looked happy enough I wonder if I said I was staying would they have offered to heat the bun?I don't dole out 1 star that often but seriously selling me a clearly stale bun was not nice.

Very cute cafe with a lot of market shopping you can do. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a honey lavender latte -- 10/10!

Stopped in quickly to order lunch to go. The wait time was fine not too too long and they do have a "market" you can browse while waiting. I take issue with the prices my sandwich was $16 for just a sandwich not small bag of chips or apple or anything. To go along with it. I ordered a cup of soup to go on the side, which was $6 but when I opened the cup it was half filled. The only reason I gave a second star is the taste of both the soup & the sandwich are excellent. I'm my opinion they are not worth the almost $25 price tag...as there was a take out fee on my order.

I hate to write this kind of review. Before posting this I first reached out to Local Provisions with my concerns about the Thanksgiving take out I ordered. The response I received back was so condescending and unsympathetic, I needed to say something. We ordered our entire (pre-cooked) Thanksgiving dinner from Local Provisions, and it wasn't cheap. I was hopeful that it would be wonderful (ordering in Thanksgiving was new to me). We were so disappointed. I had to throw half of it away. They provided heating instructions for the items I received, which I followed. I even left the items in longer than instructed. The vegetables - including the sweet potatoes, green beans and brussels sprouts were so undercooked that they were nearly raw. What bothers me most is the response I received back from Local Provisions: "We cannot possibly give any more specific instructions . . . " All I wanted was an "I'm sorry". Why are those words so hard for some businesses to say.On the positive side, the cheesecake and chocolate chip cookies were very good.
