Little Bangkok in the Strip has turned into my favorite, go-to spot for Thai fried rice in Pittsburgh! I get the Bangkok Spicy Basil with chicken, level 5. The fried rice portion is huge and they add a lot of meat and veggies. The flavor is seriously so good. I usually just get takeout, but recently dinned inside. The service was great and the staff were so friendly. I went on a Friday night and they were not busy inside at all, they are more of a takeout spot but still have a cute dinning area.

Surprisingly good Thai food in the strip district! Really friendly woman who worked here. Lots of seating inside and some tables outside. Prices are a bit high but they do have a lunch special which makes it more affordable. We got a couple lunch special dishes - drunken noodles with shrimp and panang curry with beef. You choose a spice level 1-10. Each dish comes with a small cup of soup. Both were tasty but I enjoyed the drunken noodles more. Portions weren't massive but it fed us well / two people.

Cutest and most delicious Thai restaurant nestled right on Penn Ave in the middle of the Strip District. They have dine in and take out options. They also have lunch specials as well as larger portions for dinner. Very authentic décor and food. Was able to try their Thai Iced Tea which is a refreshing blend of black tea, spices and a sweetened condensed milk. Their golden crab wonton is probably one of the best I have ever had. The owner and head chef came and talked to me and told me she wraps each wonton daily by hand! They are made with chopped crab meat, cream cheese, green onion and cilantro and served with a sweet chili sauce. I would go back here just for those!!! The Tom Yum Bowl is a traditional Thai soup flavored with lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves and fresh Thai chilis. It is very light and refreshing. The Pad Thai is amazing as well. A Thai stir-fry, rice noodle cooked with egg, bean sprouts, scallions, carrots, crushed peanuts and a lime wedge. She let me try some of her homemade spices from her "spice rack". One was a dry, flakey spice that she chops and blends and has a nice subtle kick, the other is more of a paste and has spice but is combined with a sweet flavor that does not make the spice too overkill and the last was more of your traditional soy sauce but it was very delicious and flavorful. I can not wait to try many more things from their menu!

I'm always surprised when I come to Little Bangkok at the fact that it isn't super crowded - the food is delicious! They have great soups, salads, & entrees, as well as a good lunch special setup. I really liked the labb salad, the spicy basil entree, and the drunken noodles. All of them were flavorful & had a good mix of meat, veggies, & sauce. When you order, you get to pick a spicy level. I would suggest not being nervous to go higher on the heat scale. Our waitress tried to talk us out of ordering on the spicier side, but all of us agreed that we would have liked our entrees a little spicier. Plus, the thai iced teas serve as a great sweet balance to spicy meals. One area where the restaurant could use some adjustment is in the ambiance. The smell when you first walk in isn't great, and the tables/chairs aren't anything nice. I think maybe putting a little more work into the ambiance would go a long way in increasing the popularity of this spot, because the food is great!Food: B+Drinks: B+Service: B-Ambiance: C-

Alright y'all, I'll admit it, I have a love affair with this place. It's by far my favorite budget-friendly thai in the city and surrounding areas. I first stumbled upon this place about 6 years ago after trying to go to Pusadee's Garden which was closed at the time, and I'm so happy I did! Little Bangkok can be easy to miss in the strip district since it's a narrow building in between two larger restaurants. The dining area is a relaxed, comfortable space. It's not huge, and can get crowded at lunch. Takeout is also very popular during lunch hours. The service is great, there is typically only one waitress and she is the owner. She's so friendly and makes sure everyone has a good meal. Everything here is great! My go to is the drunken rice with combo meats (chicken, beef, and shrimp), and sometimes I add tofu too. The pad thai here is the best I've ever had. Each meal is accompanied by a little bowl of soup with vegetables and tofu which I enjoy. Portions are huge, prices are good, and service is fast. Love this place so much!!!

Ordered the Pad Thai & Drunken Noodle with chicken, spice level 3. The last time we tried spice level 6. 3 wasn't too different. Still spicy but good. Crab wonton was good too.

Good Thai food in the Strip District. It's a nice place to stop by after you have walked around in the Strip for a while. They have all the classic Thai food items, and some of their own specials as well. I tried the pad see ew with tofu and the coconut sticky rice with ice cream. The pad see ew was not very good. It was topped with far too much pepper, which made that the dominant flavor. Also, many of the vegetables were not thoroughly cooked. The tofu was fine but somewhat soggy. It was somewhat dry. Portion for the price is on the smaller side. I have definitely tried better in other places. However, the dessert was quite good. The ice cream tasted like a slightly more sweet version of vanilla, not much coconut flavor, but still great. Perfect texture for the rice and a decent amount of coconut milk although more would have been nice. It's a good combination of warm with cold. All in all, a solid place to stop by but I have definitely had much better pad see ew. It is also on the pricy side, although the portions are okay. The dessert (coconut sticky rice with ice cream) is very good though.
