We have our extended family visiting for the holiday season and tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend for the first time today. Five members of our family are vegan from Seattle and they found food that they enjoyed . I tried a Gyro which was excellent! Everyone thought the food was great and the service fantastic ! The restaurant is casual and child friendly. I highly recommend Laziz for authentic Lebanese food !

It's a small cafe inside an office building located on the terrace level (basement). You wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. We aren't from Pittsburgh and were just in town to visit relatives so we didn't know what "terrace level" meant. We thought it was at the top of the building so we climbed six flights only to find small doctors' and psychologists' offices. The food was fine. It wasn't bad but it wasn't exceptional either. The meat was well seasoned and the salad was fresh. It was decent but I just didn't think it was delicious. Would we go back? Probably not. But I do think supporting local businesses is important and I suspect my taste buds shouldn't keep others from trying this cafe out.

The food here is soooo good! I was incredibly impressed with all of the items that I tried. I live pretty far away, but this place is worth coming to semi-consistently. So glad it opened! I ended up trying their rice pudding, falafel, gyro meat (side order), and (beef?) shawarma wrap.Let's start with the star of the meal: the shawarma wrap. Wow, wow wow! So incredibly good. The portion is great for the price. But, what is really impressive is the quality of the food. The sauce is perfectly creamy and goes very well with the meat. The meat is tender, well cooked, and well seasoned. The wrap is pretty good, too. It soaks up some of the meat's 'juices.' Good amount of vegetables, too. Tomatoes added nice freshness.The gyro meat was so excellent. I don't remember the last time I had gyro meat, but now I want more! Again, a great portion for a side order. It's a bit heavier than the shawarma. But again, very well seasoned and delicious.I was also quite impressed with the falafel ball. I also got this as a side order, and the ball was quite big. It came with some vegetables like lettuce and I believe beets? Or radish? I'm not too sure. But what I am sure about is that the falafel is delicious. It's not too hard or crumbly. Flavorful. Tahini sauce is a little acidic but goes well with the falafel. Nice nutty taste.The rice pudding (almost always get this dessert) is also one of the best in the area. Very creamy, a tad milky. I enjoyed it very much. Nice way to end off a meal. I've heard the baklava is good too but haven't tried it.All in all, I am soooooo happy this place opened up just recently! Everything I tried was spot on and delicious. For the price, it's incredible. It would be incredible even if the price was 30% higher. It's so good, just go there and you'll see what I mean. Try the wrap (any wrap honestly, gyro or shawarma) and rice pudding for sure.

The hummus is spectacular here! I enjoyed a lunch with my sister and we were both blown away by how delicious everything was! There is a nice selection of delicious Lebanese entrees perfect for lunch or dinner in a casual bistro setting. My sister had a Chicken Shawarma and I had the Falafel Platter. My platter was beautiful with colorful pickled turnips and tomatoes over lettuce with a nice tahini dip. We also ordered hummus to share which was super smooth and creamy and also plated beautifully. I was very impressed and am planning on coming back. Don't miss this restaurant for a healthy meal!

The Mezza Platter and Shawarma Platter (beef) are both AMAZING. I could eat that Shawarma all day every day. This is the first time I've ever enjoyed tabouleh, it's more than just parsley! The servers are great, they were very gracious when answering questions from my friends with severe food allergies and/or sensitivities. Here's the best testimonial I can offer - I don't eat out all that often, but I've been here 3-4 times in the last six months. :)

I have not tried eating in the establishment, however, I ordered from DoorDash and I'm so glad I did. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious! The spinach and meat pies were very very good. The sleek was out of this world good. Actually, everything was top notch. I can't wait to go back and try more stuff! Try this place out, you won't be sorry.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. I've had their spicy fish wrap every time I order from here because it's so good, I can't consider anything else. But I always sample everything else. Their hummus is so smooth. Their fries are delicious. My husband always orders the gyro. And I got my mom a steak wrap, which she absolutely loved. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. This place is a gem.

Unfortunately not impressed. The shawarma was lacking and the gyro too. The sound the day was lentilBut it tasted light watered down tomato soup with rice and a hint of lentil. It seems like this is a favorite spot amongst the building or people as it's one floor down in the Executive Building.
