Layali Pizza Fish & Chicken

A new take out spot in Forest Hills in the former location of the venerable Hanadi's...and it looks like it'll be a good one!Stopped in on this "soft opening" evening, seeing they were open. We ordered a number of things - cheese steak hoagie, shrimp and fries, onion rings and some grape leaves. It was hot and ready in 15 minutes. Took everything home (including some rice pudding the very friendly and personable owner threw in gratis) and we started chomping.Great food...my son said the hoagie was excellent, and the very large breaded shrimp were terrific, as were the fries and onion rings. Great chow! The one and only observation would be that the grape leaves seemed a bit too...soft inside? Overall though, Forest Hills has another winner in the borough! Try them! Thumbs up!

I was eager to try the new place on the Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills. L a YALI is a small pizza chicken and fish takeout. I was in the mood for a cheese stick. they offer a Philly cheesesteak, it really isn't a Philly cheesesteak, but it's a very good cheesesteak. I have to remember the next time not to ask for mayo other than that the steak was very good. I loved the shoestring fries and received plenty. The cheesesteak was tomato, lettuce, and onion. we all know a Philly cheesesteak doesn't have lettuce, tomato, and onion, but it was very good. The owner was friendly, outgoing and helpful. I will return and highly recommend you give this place

Can't speak on the other parts of the menu but we got an extra large pepperoni pizza the other day and we thoroughly enjoyed it! I thought it was a little expensive for a 1 topping pizza at over $28 but it was very good! I would have given it 5 stars if it would have been a little more reasonably priced

Really good food. Actually, I'm quite surprised by how good it was given the fact the place is new and the prices are also super reasonable. I tried their rice pudding and Philly cheesesteak (1/2 size, 8").The Philly cheesesteak was so good! Although I asked for it without lettuce, and they still added lettuce, it was still really tasty. They had some sort of creamy sauce in there with the cheese too, and it worked really well. Great flavor. And, the bread was tasty too, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle.And the meat -- oh my, that was so fresh and delicious. Tasted a bit like shawarma meat, which I love. The vegetables were also quite fresh and tasty. This is a seriously great sandwich, and their half size is 2" larger than average for a cheaper price than most places!Now, the rice pudding wasn't as amazing. It was fine, but had a slightly strange flavor (like, a refrigerator taste if you know what I mean by that, kind of stale). The texture was pretty decent and they did top it off with some tasty pistachios, but I probably wouldn't order this again if I went back.All in all, this spot is already quite good and I'm interested to see how they grow soon! Great portions and prices. The cheesesteak is so good, try it out!

This place has some delicious pizza! The crust is crispy and soft on the inside. The take out time isn't too long. I ordered a pizza and it took about 20 minutes. The layali pizza is really good and worth it!

So excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood! We had the fries, cod sandwich, onion, rings, Buffalo chicken hoagie, grape leaves, and rice pudding. All of the items were delicious and seasoned perfectly. I especially loved the crispy, flavorful onions rings! The owner was so kind and friendly and made extra items for us to try on the house. Can't wait to return and try more things!

Howdy neighbors of Forest Hills, the local pizza options are limited. So we have all tried pretty much all of them. We tried the pizza here; It was decent, but maybe not better than the other pizza chains around. You know what I'm talking about.

Ordered a cod fish sandwich, it was yellow like it had liver issues, and the catfish that I ordered was the same exact color. Zero flavor, and I know that it wasn't catfish.

The perch had no meat the fries was string cold fries and the chicken wa burnt at 10am

Hands down the best pizza place in all of Pittsburgh. Variety, taste, timeliness, prices, quality, you name it.The people make your food do know what they are doing and that is most important. One of the best experiences I have ever had.Above all, my family and I swear by their Philly Steak and "Layali" pizzas!
