This spot was recommended to me after I mentioned to a friend that I miss the street tacos I used to get in Texas, and it definitely did a good job of fulfilling that craving! The taco stand is run by the grocery store behind it, which is also a good place to pop into if you're in the mood to cook up some Mexican cuisine. They have a few picnic tables outside if you want to eat your tacos there, which we enjoyed doing as we people-watched in Brookline (definitely a neighborhood we need to frequent more - there's so many good food spots here that we're just now learning about!)The tacos themselves were tasty and I enjoyed the salsas they had to offer! My husband really liked his quesadilla as well. Overall, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're craving some street tacos!

A great grocery spot for anything Mexican spice , food, seasonings, meats, rare fruits, and their sidewalk tacos. Pay for your tacos at the register & request them outside. I asked for the Al Pastor tacos since the meat was juicy nicely layered marinated pork. You're on Brookline Blvd. catching the vibe and enjoying the weather and passersby. Benches to eat are available to enjoy your lunch, dinner, snack! There's 4 tacos pictured with a side of roasted jalapeño and the guacamole salsa and roasted red salsa, self-serve.

As fresh and as authentic as it gets. Great food at a great price you can't beat it. Very friendly staff and you can do shop inside the store while you wait for your food. Only con is they have limited supply so once your meat choice is out it's out but that's how good they are that they sell out!!

Oh hell yes. We found this by accident, because we were in the neighborhood to visit a bakery. But the smell beckoned us. Seriously the best tacos I have tasted in quite some time. Of the three types I tasted, the chorizo was hands-down my favorite. There is a toppings-bar to put your favorite things on your tacos and a few picnic tables outside. Even though it was freezing in the shade on a cool November day, we sat outside and enjoyed our tacos. Don't miss this spot.

I drove over to Las Palmas in Brookline after checking them out on Yelp over and over again. lol the grill and taco station is set up outside of the grocery store. You pay for your food inside (let them know how many tacos you want) and then you go outside and let the cook know which protein(s) you want. I ordered a chorizo, ground beef, and grilled chicken tacos. My favorite was the chorizo by far. It had the most flavor. The sauce/topping bar is a great addition as well. They have little to-go cups in case you need to transport the sauces. Overall it was a great experience and the tacos were delicious!

Street-side grill with an array of tacos - really exotic condiments and plenty of it !We arrive here directly from the Pittsburgh Airport, just a cosmopolitan place with wonderful foot traffic. I think they could recycle all the glass bottles and make waste management a priority and it would improve the hygiene of this street side cafe and carnicrria

I enjoyed the tacos here at Las Palmas. It is essentially a taco stand. Super simple, no frills stand. You pay inside the store. There was a line inside but it went quick. Then you go to the stand and ask for what you want. My experience at the taco stand was "no comprende Ingles" so take a moment to know what kind of meat you want. I chose both the ribeye and "taco meat", which seemed to be a coarse ground beef. I liked the ribeye better, much more flavor. Once you get your tacos, you add condiments yourself. This might be trial and error because they are not labeled. On my visit, there were multiple salsas. The guacamole was empty, no cheese or lettuce. Don't know if those are ever offered. They have some picnic tables right in front on the sidewalk where you can eat, or eat in your car like I did. Price was awesome. $2.50 per taco is what I paid.

Best tacos in Pittsburgh hands down! They make them right in front of you. Only $3 per taco and it is worth it. You have to go inside the store to pay and then come back outside to order. Sometimes they even have a separate stand selling street corn and other sides. If you don't mind eating at a table on the sidewalk, stay awhile. Grab a Mexican soda inside the store and treat yourself. $5 minimum on cards tho!

On a scale of documentaries to romances, Las Palmas tacos are a spicy, lil documentary to a great taco. Las Palmas is reminiscent of street food with their taco bar on the sidewalk frontage of their grocery store. The tacos are delicious, but the experience is what truly makes it. Order tacos to go or take a seat at the picnic tables. Beware of the salsa! As someone who loves a good kick, I just doused my tacos in multiple salsas...and at least one of those salsas had me crying. If you're not local and you drove over, you can park at the paid parking or just take a turn around the block and park for free.

The only authentic mexican place East of Chicago and North of Texas. The grocery store is the only place to get any ingredients to make real mexican food. Giant Eagle never has cilantro or peppers, and Las Palmas is always stocked.
