Larry & Carols Pizza

This is sort of a classic college place, that's open super late, serves cheap food, and fills you up. I am actually quite surprised they combined pizza and Middle Eastern food under one roof, but that's pretty cool. I tried food from bath menus. So, I tried the the calzone and the Arabic style chicken shawarma.The chicken shawarma was very good, and I definitely recommend it. Not as good as Omar's but still great. Portion was awesome. The chicken was a tad dry but the garlic sauce balanced it out. That sauce was insanely good and garlicky. Standard wrap casing, a little flimsy.It also came with fries and a little pickled salad. All the vegetables were crispy and refreshing (cucumbers, carrots and beets I believe). Fries went really well with the garlic sauce too. Decent crisp.The calzone was pretty underwhelming. It was undercooked and pretty much all white. The cheese wasn't the best quality I believe. A tad soggy. I'd recommend skipping it, but the price is good.All in all, a fine spot. Great for the Mediterranean food, not so much for the pizza.

Another Pittsburgh institution. Every so often I get on a Larry & Carols kick.When I do stand back because I'll devour everything in sight.Pizza sauce has a nice flavor that's always consistent.Real cheese and other fresh toppings.There's a reason they've been around for awhile now.

I wish I could give lower stars. Absolutely abysmal service and useless cashiers. Waited for more than an hour for this garbage food. Would have been better off feeding this slop to the rats in the sewer. Don't come here.

Dear lord. I've been trying to find the name of this establishment for almost 2 years and glad i remembered it !!! Back in '22 when the Steelers played the raiders on Xmas eve we flew out to Pittsburgh for our first time ever and got to our hotel super late like 1 in the morning. This place was the only place open and we were STARVING. we ordered a buffalo chicken pizza on some white or garlic sauce can't remember; HOLY F*CKING SH*T i still daydream about this pizza. I'm from California so this was first time ever trying pizza not from the west coast and it did not disappoint. I will go back to Pittsburgh again someday and i WILL go to Larry and Carols pizza !!!

A South O gem!! They have great pizza, and they make it pretty fast, especially late at night.

Ordered over $200 worth of pizza for a big event. Emailed and called multiple times to confirm my order... because it was such a large order... and never heard back. I proceeded to walk past the store and go inside and check they got my order and my oh my i was in shock. the place was under construction and my card was charged. i am extremely upset and feel that this establishment is a disgrace because they stole over $1000 dollars worth on online orders while they continued to keep their online orders accepting while being shut down. I talked to local businesses and they were shocked by this pizza place. one of the nearby businesses texted the owner of larry and carols and the guy didnt give any care in the world about the money he stole through my order. A COMPLETE SCAM. if i hadnt walked past the store i would have had zero clue that this large order i was charged for was no where in the works of being prepared and ready. i hope they never reopen its a waste of time and space in such a prime location

Best pizza in Pittsburgh and welcoming environment. Love it here so much, can't beat it
