Large Plain Pizza and Pints

BEST PIZZA & WINGS in the northern Pittsburgh area!! The crispy wings and bubbly crust on the pizza- oh it brought back childhood and college memories - so good.Service is fast, staff are great, restaurant is clean.I rarely give 5 stars. They earned 5 stars in my book.

Solid 4 stars for food and service. The beer special was tremendous.. and heavy! Atmosphere is nothing special.

I tried Large Plain for the first time tonight and ordered a medium plain pizza and a 6 piece order of wings with Louisiana Purchase wing sauce. We ordered over the phone and the wait time was 30 minutes. Food was ready as soon as we got there to pick it up which I appreciated. I liked the pizza - maybe not my favorite in the area but I enjoyed it. However - the wings THE WINGS. Wow I was so impressed they were really good. I definitely will be going back and want to try more wing flavors and also the Sicilian pizza!

This placed used to be decent but after finding a blonde beard hair baked into in my cheesy bread tonight i will never order from here again.

This was my first time visiting Large Plain. Being the nearest pizza restaurant to my house, I had visited the previous business here, Luciano's, on and off over the years and thought it nothing more than average. I watched over the weeks as this location was bought and spruced up, and received a flyer in the mail upon their opening, prompting me to try it out. I did an online order for a small pepperoni pizza and breadsticks, the website was smooth sailing and gave a reasonable 25 minute wait time. Upon arriving I saw the parking lot pretty full for a Thursday evening, and I enjoyed the new dark brown & yellow paint job on the exterior. Once inside I was immediately helped by two girls behind the counter, way faster than I can say for a few other restaurants where you're practically ignored and wait around. They had my order hiding in one of those thermal pizza delivery bags to keep it nice and hot until I arrived!The breadsticks were good and pretty similar to what I've gotten at other places. The pizza was tasty and the sauce wasn't too sweet and a bit acidic. The small is perfect for an individual or to split as a couple with an appetizer. I can't speak to the sit down service, but look forward to returning and am happy with this addition to the neighborhood!

This is great pizza and wings! This is our regular pizza place now. Great stuff, fair prices, great service. The kitchen is always hopping and they don't miss a thing. We love dining in here.

Reasons I love Large Plain1) the name just cracks me up. I can't really explain it, I just think it's so clever!2) It's delicious! Reliable, delicious, and fresher than the chains. It's our go to for pizza night!

I was skeptical given the low ratings but my wife and I decided to give it a go. And we were very pleasantly surprised. We got a couple small pizzas and split a hoagie. Hoagie was good, on par with Pittsburgh standards. Didn't blow me away but it was enjoyable. And let's be honest, there's only so much you can do to an Italian sub. I had the Hawaiian and it was awesome. Bacon, ham, pineapple etc. What stood out to me was that unlike a lot of Pittsburgh pizza places, it wasn't drowning in cheese. And so thankfully there wasn't that slick of grease resting on top. Everything was just the right proportions. And the crust was surprisingly good. Soft but not too doughy. And there was a light crispness to it. My wife had a veg pizza and that too was quite good. Beer selection is decent. And inside is a cool little pub feel. It's not huge, but was just what we needed for an unplanned date night. Will be going again.

Being new to the area it's kind of funky to get in to their parking lot, at least it was for me depending on the way you come. We were greeted right away and sat down. Waited on right away. Staff was friendly and nice. We decided to just go with the name and ordered a Large Plain. Also ordered Mac and cheese bites. Every thing came out at the same time and quickly. It was indeed a large plain pizza for $12.00. Is it a place I would go out of my way to get?...no. It is a quick bite to eat, yes. Seriously just a bit of garlic and basil would go along way. There was a hint of flavor but needed more.

I've ordered for pickup here several times over the past few months and have never been disappointed! I get their buffalo chicken pizza and usually a side of ranch. The workers are always promptly with me when I show up for my orders and are pretty friendly too. They have a lot of different unique pizzas, like one with pulled pork, that I'm looking forward to trying next!
