I was so excited to finally sample La Palapa. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and a beef empanada. I was thrilled to receive a pager to alert me to when my order was ready. I wish all for trucks did this! The food was ready very fast and smelled amazing. The chicken tacos were a little spicier than I expected but not too spicy. I definitely enjoyed them. While the empanada was a nice size with a great texture, I have to say I was disappointed that the beef didn't appear to be seasoned and had nothing in them but beef. Empanadas I've had elsewhere have been well seasoned and often contain other ingredients in addition to just the beef itself. I did see a girl eating what must've been the potato and cheese empanada. If I order another empanada I think that's the one I'd try in the future.

The tacos are fresh and I love that you get to add your own toppings including cheese.Prices are reasonable as well.I have to say they are right up there with some of the best tacos in the city.

We were picking up a piece of furniture in Sharpsburg and spotted this taco "buggy" in front of a brewery, so we made a point to come back for some tacos. I'm impressed. The guys were friendly, the tacos very tasty, and the service was prompt. They do not skimp on meat or toppings. I also liked the buzzers they gave us while we waited. If you see these guys out and about, make sure to stop by for some delicious Mexican grub.

Have run into LP Buggy a couple of times. Today I had empanadas that were very good. They were 3 for $10. I had a Chicken, Beef and Plantain & Cheese. Enjoyed all! Very nice flavors. You can mix or match 3 items including tacos and quesadillas. If LP Buggy is in your area give it a try.

Finally found my Mexican food truck people in Pittsburgh. This little cart is parked on a corner of Butler Street around the corner from a brewery, so the picnic tables are shared. Admittedly, I came on a busy Friday night so they had run out of a few of their offerings, but the couple inside were actually Mexican and making home-style tacos and empanadas. Not American style. The green tomatillo salsa was brutally spicy, and they only had crema, raw onions, and cilantro - no radishes, cotija cheese, or limes to cut the spiciness, so I was sniffling and half drooling from numbed lips and tongue. Caveat emptor! The rajas were really well cooked and flavorful, as well. I found it odd to have a sizable amount of rice underneath the rajas in a taco, but hey.Generally it's well cooked food from nice folks that will go great with beer and a beautiful summer view across from the cemetery. If they had any of those other items that make Mexican tacos balanced flavors, I would give it that other star. Looking forward to coming back again.

Really didn't have anything to put on your taco except onions. No cheese, lime, salsas?!
