Super casual, fresh, authentic and BYOB. In the heart of one of the bigger, Latin communities in the Pittsburgh area, a great place worth checking out.

Coming to this pace I was very hesitant because I've never had El Salvador or Guatemala dishes so I didn't know what to expect. So the time we came I ordered the carne asada plate which was really good but wasn't what I was expecting ( I was expecting a Mexican influenced dish). The second time I came I wanted to try different things so I ordered 1 Papusa, 1 Baleada, 1 Picadita. The Papusa ( I ordered the chicharron) was fantastic the bread had great texture and it's served with cabbage and a red sauce that compliments it. The Baleada blew me away! I it's a homemade tortilla with a mole type of sauce and your choice or protein which I order led the rib. For toppings they add cheese, avocado, and "crema". The picadita is just like a Mexican soupe so I was stoked about that. I ordered the chicken. They use beans, two different kinds of cheese, lettuce and crema. The chicken seems to be grilled which is great. This is bar far the best Hispanic food I've had in the area. Next year we will be back and I'm taking all my co workers here.

This restaurant has changed names and owner, so the name change. The menu is similar to the previous menu and the food is still very good. The papayas we had were very good. They came with curdito and a salsa de tomate that was very spicy and also a green salsa. The menu is relatively large and the food so very good. If you are looking for some good Latin American food this is a great place.

Wow the the worse food ever also really dirty and the food was under cooked also a woman was sweeping the floor and right by the kitchen she was picking up the trash with a napkin and after that without washing her hands she was serving food.

Cocina de Betty is amazing. She used to be cool at el milagro years ago and I think she branched out on her own. Good for her, great for us. She is amazing, hard working and makes sure food is delicious. It is always consistent. You have to try the Flautas (chicken with sauce and all kinds of good stuff on top) rice and beans amazing too. The seasonings are authentic Mexican. If you want good Mexican food, best to go where all the locals go to and that is this place. Place is small inside but just enough. Quick take out. I will be coming back often. So happy.

I really enjoyed the food--fresh and well prepared. I am not a Spanish-speaker, regrettably, but pointing at menus worked for us, the service was friendly and the food was great.

Was recently in NM and had my first pupusa. Loved them! Wondered if possible to find in Pittsburgh? Did a google search and this restaurant came up. Absolutely fabulous! Know it's good if locals there! And can I say these pupusas were BETTER than NM!
