The bar sucks so bad here. A Mexican restaurant that has a total of 3 margaritas on the menu. ALL use the ABSOLUTE cheapest ingredients. Their grand gold margarita says it's maid with Hornitos Repo but it's made with cheap gold coloring tequila. The sour mix of choice is the cheapest you can buy. They charge $20 for one. I hen you question them on why they substitute the ingredients the staff replies " That's the way we were taught to do it." You can go 1/2 mile down the road and get same or better quality food and way better drinks at El Campasino.

I love to try new Mexican restaurants and I was around the McMurray area so I chose this place randomly. I got the Fajitas Texicanas and shared it with my boyfriend. The flavors on the chicken, steak and shrimp was the perfect amount. I dont cook with salt so it was nice that even with the flavor it wasn't too salty. The rice wasn't my favorite but the beans were pretty good. My boyfriend did get a Margherita too and it had a good flavor. The classic was good and had a hit of orange in it. The server was very friendly and the food came out very quickly. The restaurant itself is kind of off a side road and not right off of route 19 but it was still easy to find and it was cute and quaint with plenty of parking and the inside was cute too.

Slightly disappointing experience with this place. After trying the amazing 5 Star Honduras, I wanted to try more of that cuisine and thus ordered from this place. I got their pupusas and bunuelos. The pupusas were pretty good. The portion was okay for the price. They served it in a takeout box with lettuce at the bottom, which did make it more soggy. I like that they included beans and cheese; it was creamy and very flavorful. The top and bottom was kind of falling apart though. Still, it was good Flavor wise. The bunuelos were quite disappointing, though. They remind me of a sweet Brazilian cheese bread. But, here, they were quite stale and almost rock hard. They served it with seemingly store bought Hershey syrup type of sauce which I didn't really like. They were okay but I wouldn't get them again. All in all, a pretty decent Mexican spot with some unique offerings. The pupusas were good, but the dessert was not the best.

Small Mexican Restaurant tucked off of Rt. 19. Opens 11Am to 10pm. Has a genuine Mexican feel, and music too. There is a Happy Hour 4-6. 15 beers on tap and many more in the cooler. The place has friendly staff and is clean, clean, clean, down to the bathrooms. The menu offers the regular Mexican fare. The salsa's and queso are bland and the chips a bit on the thick side. I found the food not flavorful in any way which is disappointing when Mexican food usually is full of layered spices .

Recently discovered this hidden place of route 19. Who doesn't like chips and salsa, a cold beer and some sizzling fajitas? Overall, I favor the beef enchiladas and the chili releno. Occasionally, I order the steak fajitas and have not been disappointed. Reasonably priced and nice staff. Pretty much a regular there now.P.S. they serve beer and margs too with happy hour available!

Blown away! Excellent food, really great service. This is my new go to for Peters/McMurray/Canonsburg area. Location is a bit unconventional, almost appears to be an addition to a residential home. The restaurant is new, so it is very modern and clean. The food and drink prices were both comparable (very affordable) to other restaurants nearby, but the quality really is what blew us away. My mom ordered the chicken chimichanga, and I ordered the vegetarian platter. My entree was fantastic, and unlike other restaurants who consider a bean burrito sufficient vegetarian food - this place even threw in a chili relleno, which was my favorite part! Sides were fresh, and authentic. Beans and rice were both very good - along with the chips & homemade salsa.

I have been to La Calera many times. Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted by friendly employees. The food portions are great, and always delivered to your table hot. I have tried several dishes and have never been disappointed. The frozen margaritas are delicious. The owners are wonderful people. If you haven't tried La Calera yet, you need to, there are 2 locations, one in McMurray and the other on Clairton Blvd., in West Mifflin.

This is our family's favorite. Great attentive staff. Really good food. Both without fail. Very few other Mexican restaurants in Pittsburgh compare.

This place is great - I'm hoping they don't get too popular. Nice and quaint, good menu, good food, good service. A little shady from the outside, but cozy on the inside. Would rather go here than other places near by that have too much energy. Nice mom & pop place that's hard to find.

The Food was Very Bland and Not Authentic at All. Sauce on Enchilada was Sweet. Would not Recommend it at All.
