Kountry Kettle Restaurant

This quaint, small restaurant nestled in the middle of beautiful farm country PA I've only been to twice. But every time, I've always had great food and even better service. This five-star review doesn't come because this side of the country isn't saddled with many replete restaurant choices. But because the food is cooked fresh and the wait isn't normally too long. Just think classic, American diner food, but cooked better. The last time, my roasted beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and beef gravy was so hearty and delicious, I ate it all. It can get quite busy sometimes so I would recommend reservations for larger groups. And every time I came here, I left with a box full of sugar cookies from the bakery to take back home to FL to enjoy. There's no better touch-of-home than a homemade sugar cookie with frosting. Great food! Great service. They make you feel at home. Very nice and very clean place to eat. Also if you need a catering service , the Kettle does at fantastic job.

We've been here twice. The food was good both times. Both times our main waitress was very nice. However, both times we experienced rudeness. The first time, the person helping the waitress was rude. We figured it was once, and with the food being good, we'd try again. This time we went in with my 89 year old uncle. It was incredibly cold in there. I was freezing. Literally shaking. As was my great uncle. We asked out waitress if we could have the air adjusted a bit. She agreed to ask. The owner came over and was very condescending in her reply. She replied that when she gets 100 people in there it will be too hot. It wasn't said in a kind way It wasn't busy, there were 10 of us total. I don't see another 90 rushing in that quickly. It would have been fine to say no. But being business like and or friendly would have been an improvement. On that note, she went back to the bar area and made fun of my 89 year old uncle for shivering and telling her he was cold. My father walked over to use the restroom and saw 3 patrons making fun of him (My great uncle). He didn't tell us this until after we left, as he knew I'd say something to the owner. We've spent our last $ here. If you look through my reviews you'll see I have many and I don't believe I've ever left a one. Attitude means so much.

My husband and I just ate at Kountry Kettle and it was delicious! We had a great server and the owner, Dana, is an awesome guy! Very cute and comfortable place. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean and well-kept for sure! Highly recommend this family-owned restaurant!

Ok....So....I live several hours away and always look forward to eating here. Folks, this is NOT "fast food"...this is real home cooking at its finest! The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet, the staff treat you like they have been your friend forever...and the food....it does not get any better, I promise. Oh....the portions....Unless you haven't eaten in a few days, plan on taking home leftovers! They always get a 5/5 rating from me!

This place is a hidden treasure. The service is OUTSTANDING. The food was EXCELLENT. The mac n' cheese is homemade and is creamy goodness. The "all you can eat" shrimp is such a full platter that just one plate will do it. The fries are crisp and hot. The burgers are HUGE and so juicy good.I highly recommend this gem and I will be back!!

Great place, good home cooked, all American food and really nice people. Sweet potato fries, burger, seafood platter, house salad, coconut shrimp all good. A long list of homemade pies greets you at the door.

Great! I had the All American Burger with "straight" Fries and my wife had the Roast Beef and Gravy with Massed Potatoes! Very big servings and all delicious! Service was fast and friendly also. Tried Kountry Kettle because of the terrific Reviews and they really told it like it is! We'll definitely be back!

WOW! What a find. We just happened to find this place on a Google search since we were going to be in the Bedford Pa area and wanted to have a nice breakfast. The photos on Google maps made it look like a very nice, clean place and they were completely accurate. Breakfast was great! Coffee was freshly ground. The manager talked with us for a while and we really liked her. Altogether a great experience and we'll definitely go back when we are in that area again.
