We had a wonderful dinner at Kiyoshi, where my husband and I met up with my parents for a family meal. We started with crab rangoon and edamame, both of which were fresh and delicious. The crab rangoon had a perfect balance of creamy filling and crispy shell, and the edamame was perfectly seasoned. My husband and I also tried the egg drop soup, which was comforting and flavorful--definitely a good choice for a cozy start to the meal. My dad and stepmom opted for the ginger salad, which they really enjoyed for its fresh, zesty kick. For the main courses, I loved the Winter Roll. It was a beautifully prepared dish--8 pieces of shrimp tempura topped with spicy crab salad and drizzled with eel sauce. The combination of crispy tempura and creamy, spicy crab salad was outstanding. My husband, dad, and stepmom all shared the Spicy Deluxe, which was a massive hit. It included a 32-piece assortment of rolls--spicy crunch tuna, spicy crunch salmon, fire roll, spicy California roll, and spicy shrimp tempura roll. The variety of flavors and textures was impressive, and each roll packed a flavorful punch. The service was amazing--quick, attentive, and efficient. Our waitress kept up with our refills and any requests we had, making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was very clean and busy with guests, which is always a good sign. It's clear that Kiyoshi takes pride in both their food and service.Overall, the food was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying, and the service made the experience even better. Kiyoshi made for a lovely family dinner, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone craving quality sushi, great flavor combinations, and outstanding service.Food- 5/5Service- 5/5Ambiance- 5/5

I used to frequent Kiyoshi several years ago. It was great.I ordered delivery today and it was terrible! Arrived on time and quick. The salmon avocado roll was super tiny. I ordered it with the soy wrap instead and it came with rice anyway. It's very tiny for the cost. I'm disappointed. The bubble tea - is way overcooked tapioca. DO NOT recommend. Tasted off. The matcha portion was good. The strawberry one is way too sweet. Just no.Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from here again and I cannot recommend it. The dinosaur eggs were my favorite- but I'm sure they're different now too.

The food was really good and surprisingly since I think of Pittsburgh more for the beef options! Probably the best sushi place but the sushi can be a little pricey considering you only get 3 pieces of sashimi for about $9. In fairness, they are large pieces! The salmon mango bowl was very good but have the sauce on the side since it can be overwhelming. I wish they would have shelled the edamame and had a few more salmon and mango bites but the seaweed salad was a good combination. The sautéed double cooked pork was plentiful and delicious! There goes my diet. Definitely a place I'd go back too the next time I'm in the area!

I got one of the lunch specials, broccoli beef with fried rice and wonton soup. They also gave wonton chips with sweet and sour sauce to dip. The chips were super crunchy. The sauce of the beef and broccoli was different than I'm used to, it was kinda reddish in color and had an off taste, at least to me. The portions were huge for a lunch special, tons of meat and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Lasted me a couple meals.

I really enjoyed this place; it's a little hard to get in and out of on the curve on University, but I think it's worth it!I ordered the sizzling pineapple chicken and it came to the table with a bit of table side prep still needed, which I loved! It was almost like a sizzling fajita! The sauce was tangy and vibrant, lots of great flavor and aroma. The chicken had a crispy exterior until it was doused with the sauce so it gave it a really nice texture. Only thing I would say is they do not give you very much rice. Other than that, delicious!

Food [1/3]Egg roll was like 99% cabbage and it was bland. Sauce is like all the other "duck" sauce that is purchased. I also ordered the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce add Chicken. The garlic sauce was surprisingly good, but chicken prep could've been better. The fortune cookie was stale. The fried egg roll skin chips were also old and soaked in grease.Atmosphere/Decor [0/1]The tables felt dirty and most of the first had some kind of damage. The environment was quite strange with Chinese decorations, sushi bar/station, and dive bar signs. They need to figure a coherent design. I'm guessing they aren't profitable enough to have nicer furniture either.Service [1/1]Service was very attentive, but did not speak English well [Spanish speakers].

Absolutely abhorrent food! The only good part was the appetizer which was fried. The lo mein was completely mush and I asked numerous times to make the general Tso chicken spicy to no avail. I highly do NOT recommend this restaurant. The chef obviously has a lot to learn, and as BEING A CHEF myself, will not except subpar cooking to this extent! And, especially will not pay for it! No wonder why it was almost empty in the dining room! In one word DISGRACEFUL to chefs and DISGUSTING! Good Luck with this disaster!!!!NEGATIVE ONE STARS

We were visiting Pittsburgh and staying near the airport. The hotel recommended Kiyoshi and it was SO GOOD! I had the King Pao Chicken and my husband had General Tso's chicken. We had so much left over and no way to edge it later (room had a fridge but no microwave). This was done of the best Chinese food I've had anywhere. Wish we'd had time to go back again!
