At Kips your deer is what you get back. You can easily customize how you want your deer cut to please you and your family. My favorite is the jerky and deer dogs. You won't find better cuts of meat in a hotdog. The service here is outstanding. They will make sure you leave satisfied with the quality of their smoked meats and processing. You can get your deer mounted right next door to Kips at the taxidermist. Kip has been cutting deer for decades and his business reflects that experience. I like to try his newest products and am personally happy with his Wing Dust spices.

I've had Kip's process many deer for me, there was never any problems with my order, and it never took too long to get my deer back. They do a great job.

Great amount of deer back when I came to pick up a doe for red tag season. I would definitely be going back and take some time off of me doing it myself

I am not a great hunter but give it my best shot. I usually get a doe or two every year, but the big buck has eluded me. I have probably taken (12) - (15) deer to Kip's over the last 10 years. We donated many of them to the sportsmen's club that my wife and I are members of. We were satisfied with Kip's service over the years even though he did turn us away on a few occasions because he had too many deer in the cue. It's not hard to understand that sometimes they are just too busy to take anymore deer. Last night I was fortunate to harvest a nice (10) point at our friend's property in Hanover Township. I called Kip's once we had the deer field dressed to see if they would take him. The nice lady that answered said they were full for the day, but we could check back in the morning and they could probably take him. I was disappointed but what are you going to do. I thanked her and hung up the call. After hanging up, I was talking with my wife and realized that I forgot to ask what time they opened, and I wanted to ask for a taxidermy recommendation to get the head mounted. I had never done that before but figured it would be nice since I finally got a nice buck. Even though it was still no record breaker, I doubted I would ever get a bigger one in my lifetime. So, I called back to ask when they opened and if they had a recommendation for the taxidermist. The lady answered again, and I explained that I just called a few minutes earlier and knew they were full for the day but wanted to know when they opened tomorrow in order to call in the AM to check their availability. I heard Kip say to her, "Give me the phone, I will talk to them." He then started talking to me. He very rudely said they were not taking anymore deer. I said quite nicely that I understood that and that I had just been given instructions by his employee to call in the AM to check availability. He then repeated in a much louder voice that "We are taking no more deer.!" We wont take one more deer." Then, he hung up. I am not sure what precipitated his anger, but I was just trying to ask when they opened in the morning in order to call back. Upon further reflection, I have little respect for someone who would talk to any customer in that fashion. I had never done a cross thing to him except give him quite a bit of business over the years. I had not spoken angrily or even protested their inability to take any deer. I was just following up on the information that I had just received from his employee. Fortunately, Kip and I belong to a local sportsman's club and I get the opportunity to see him occasionally. I look forward to asking him about it next time we are at the club. Sometimes communication gets misinterpreted over the phone, but Kip sounded like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. As for his company's ability to process a deer, we have never been disappointed with the quantity of meat. We always loved his sausage and jerky. We are disappointed we had to find another processor. Kips USED to be amazing! They had quality products at a great price. In the last 3-4 years the product quality has gone down and the price has gone up. I picked up my husband's deer and I received 8 lbs of ground meat, backstraps, and 3 lbs of jerky. When I questioned the amount of meat I got I was told "his deer must've been small." I told them it wasn't small they ignored me and walked away. I regret even taking the meat and I will not be going back. Please beware when taking deer to be processed here because we are not the only ones that have not been given the meat that they have taken in!!!

Got a 1/2 cow done here and everything was perfect. Cuts were great. Not a single vacuum sealed bag leaked. Unfortunately, I am down to my last ribeye...time to get it done again!

Let's start by saying I am Vice President of A Sportsman's club and have been a customer of Kip's for over 10 years, sending him countless business by recommendation. BUT NEVER AGAIN after today's visit to drop off a deer after calling and they said they were accepting deer. Keep in mind I have tried on Sunday Monday and again today Tuesday. Today I arrive after calling ahead they said they were taking them, and the kid there says they are not taking any deer again. Explained I called ahead he said I don't care we won't take it we are full.So I asked him if he knew what I could do with it, or could he recommend someone else. Then he tell me stop causing a scene ? I am thinking like WTF I just asked this kid if he knew somewhere else I could take it. He said "just get out of here" Well ok so I left and found another processor. Hey kid you want a scene how about this I am recommending to everyone in our sportsman's club to immediately stop using Kip's. There is no good reason that kid should have spoke to me like that, a customer who has been using their service for many years and sent countless business their way. Well buddy because of this kid who was there and was so ignorant and also since you seem to be to busy I can help out by sending everyone I know elsewhere. You know I understand if your freezer is full and what not, but their was no reason in the world for that kid to talk to me like that. All I did was ask him where else I could take or donate it, as I would hate to have to dump it. How is that causing a scene? Also Kip's is part of the HSH (hunters sharing harvest) and he still would not even take it if I donated to them? That is absurd as HSH partners get paid for their services. Getting paid to refuse deer that just don't seem right does it?Ask anyone I know I am one of the most easy going guy's you can meet so trust me I did nothing other than ask if he knew where else I could take it, or could I donate to them "HSH"as I didn't want the deer wasted.PSA....never have your front people get ignorant with the customer for any reason what so ever....

Call this place for the first time. Called to see when they actually open, due to this Covid crap. Dude picks up says don't open till 10am, then ask about my military discount. Because someone who goes there said they do. They guy laughs says we open at 10 and hung up. Good business to be rude to people, specially when they willBe handling my meat. Probably get sick from eating it, if they do business like that.
