First visit to this recently opened spot we've been passing for the past few months. Pleasant atmosphere with sheepskin pelts over the chairs closest to the windows (nice touch!). We each ordered a flight of meads and chose a charcuterie tray to share. There was a lot to consume! I like meads and was happy to try a flight. That's more than I usually drink so next time I'll have one full size instead, but this was a nice option for the first visit. You also have the option of selecting cider, wine and/or beer for your flight. The charcuterie tray we chose was the Maiden Board, which the menu says is for 2. There is easily enough for 4 to enjoy - it was substantial - and we didn't have room for dinner. The rest of the menu looks promising, including soups and lobster rolls. Parking here is limited, but there is street parking within walking distance - or do like we did and arrive unfashionably early to snag a spot

This place has been on the bucket list. We were in the area yesterday and I told my wife we should stop. She was hesitant as she thought it was something else that we've visited before. Afterwards she loved this place. Thanking me for a great find. She and I loved the mead and wine. I loved the blackberry wine. I'm always a sucker for a blackberry wine. Glad it was a good one, not too sweet but just right. They have a large menu of visiting breweries, wineries, ciders and other spirits. I like that they also stick with local products. They have a decent selection of food that is available. The place inside is smaller capacity. Limited amount of spots are available. They do have availability at the bar that does help. They have an outside area as well. Which adds some space when it's nice outside. This is a difficult place to park at. Limited spots available. May need to park in walking distance. We were fortunate and found the last spot to park at. Overall a great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and drinks.

My friends and I visited Kingview Mead shortly after it opened. I am glad to see that the South Hills gained a place like this! Their menu has a lot of different things to drink, like mead, wine, cider, and beer, so I was happy I could order a flight and mix and match. I really enjoyed the purple and gold mead from my flight. I was so excited when I was gifted a bottle of it recently! My friends and I also ordered a small charcuterie board that was packed with meats, cheeses, and other little sides. The staff was really nice and the owner came over to introduce himself and make sure we all had something to drink. I'd love to return here again and even bring some out of town friends next time they visit!

I am so glad Kingview is now in this location! Staff is so friendly and the drinks and food were delicious. There is a wide range to choose from as drinks go and the food menu is decent considering they just recently opened up. It can be a bit pricy depending what you get drink wise. We ordered a few apps like the meat and cheese board and Buffalo dip and spinach dip. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering dinner next time to see what that's like and exploring the menu a bit more. Overall good experience and would return.

Great location! The staff was wonderful. (We requested to be outside in 20 degree weather to "Drink like a Viking!" and they were very accommodating:)). The mead is excellent, the food was excellent (chilli, flat bread, lobster roll). The setting is great (both indoors and out). Can't wait to return to try more food and mead!

I've had numerous bad experiences with this meadery. #1: I had a sampling from them at the Washington, PA Corks & Kegs Festival. The sample was fantastic and strong, and had a wonderful taste. I ordered a bottle and wished to pick it up at the end of the festival. #2:10 minutes after the festival ended, I got to the tent. They had already torn down, and were nowhere to be found. I didn't get my bottle. #3: I called the owner, who insisted I email him my information so that I could get my bottle, or a refund. I never heard back from him. To this day I have received jack shit from this scheister. #4: Being curious, I bought a bottle of the same stuff from Giant Eagle that I had at the festival. The bottle was very watered down, the taste was not nearly as strong, and it was overall dissatisfying. This man is clearly watering down his product. #5: I don't like accusing small businesses of being dishonest, so I bought another bottle, this time of the spiced mead, just to see how it would stack up against my long time sampling of mead. It was terrible. It was watered down, the taste was so subtle that it shouldn't even be mentioned. Conclusion: KingView Mead is a scam. The man clearly just wants to pass off less than mediocre mead as a means of income. It sucks, straight up. I have tasted mead from around the world, America, Canada, Sweden, Germany, and Russia. This is the worst I have ever had. When I was in college, I made my own mead from Kroger honey, yeast, and spices, and kept it in a closet in emptied 2 liter Mountain Dew bottles. It was better than this mead. Do not buy this mead. The creator of it sucks, and is at the very best a scam artist. It's terrible.

This review is based on the experience we had with them at the marathon expo. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Decided to try the cider which staff said is made with apples from Trax Farm. It was light and refreshing. Also, tried the black beary and boy, yum! A little sweet but tasted like a nice sweet berry wine. I really would like to go to the actual business because I think it would be well worth it to try some of their other flavors. Just awesome!

I had 10 bottles shipped to CA after tasting what I thought was a good product; my package arrived soaking wet, with 1 broken bottle and product leaked from the others. I spent $240 for this shipment so I immediately took photos and sent an email to the owner. No response. I called and got sent to voicemail. I really hope that they make good on my purchase because this is so disappointing.
