The hot food these guys put out is fantastic and the home made deserts are out of this world!

This little deli/meat shop is tucked in off the road so it's easy to miss. It's a small place where they make sandwiches and lunch/dinners for take out only. I had a 12" roast beef sub with the works. It was packed pretty full and quite a lunch. The price was very reasonable. Certainly better than most of the chain sandwich shops in town. They also make lunch and dinner meals with specials that change daily, Monday through Saturday. They do have a menu you can pick up so you can plan ahead. I'm looking forward to trying some of the menu choices next visit. If they are as good as the subs, they will be worth it. At present there are some political cartoons decorating the shop dealing with the upcoming election. It's nice to see they can express their first amendment rights. I understand that some are easily offended when people express opinions that differ from their own. If you are one of "those" be forewarned but you will be missing out on some good food to spite yourself.

Placed an order for two whole fillets for Christmas. I will pick them up on December 3rd. They are wonders to deal with and their meats are excellent.

Mel and Kris Kepner are amazing people with a real love for the people of Altoona. Their business has amazing cuts of meat and their daily meal specials are not only delicious but are also perfect for single people on a budget. Visit Kepner's - you won't be sorry!

Purchased our 1st time at Grandview Meats. Probably will be our last. Purchased 2 Delmonico steaks $32. And they were fat, grissle and tough. What a dissapointment. We were told how good their meats were. Food prices are bad as it is. Im enclosing a pic of what wasnt edible.

Even though the sandwich was really good. I was turned off by all the political drawings on the meat cases. Gone are the days were, as a business, you would never express your political stance. Won't be back and sure to tell friends what they are walking into.

Can't recommend this place enough. The staff were very nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The place was clean and well maintained too. They also have really good cuts. 5/5 would go here again.

Mel and crew are the best when it comes friendly and quick service.All the deli meats are fresh and Top Quality. The subs are loaded with meat and cheese, the onions make the sandwich the way that they arethin sliced. The cuts of meat are also great and trimed perfect, berger is mixed perfect also.
