Ken's Chinese Restaurant

Have used Kens as my go to for the past two years and haven't regretted it since. Everything I get I love. Big fan of the chicken and broccoli, cheese wontons, boneless spare ribs, Mongolian beef and sesame chicken. Only downfall is during busy hours of getting delivery it may take awhile and cause the fried foods to become dry and mushy. I suggest going to pick it up during busy hours but on the off hours delivery is usually pretty speedy.

May not look the best but great Chinese food! I highly recommend the chicken with Chinese vegetables.

Ordered delivery while staying at the Fairfield Inn. Food arrive hot and delicious. Sometimes it's hard to find a Chinese restaurant that serves quality food, but this one does. I ordered the house special lo mein, the wontons, and the spring rolls. Everything was flavourful and plentiful. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the Fairmont area.

Update: down to 1 star. We used to like Ken's. A lot. I don't know what's going on there now but the last few times have gone steadily downhill. Today I received my delivery an hour and twenty two (1:22) minutes after I hung up with them. I live a 5 minute drive from the store. I could have stomached that if I could stomach the food. The General chicken is the worst I've ever had. Frozen from the grocery store is worlds better. Dry, stringy and tasteless. Line I was overcooked and then left in a holding oven to dry out even more for an hour (it's that stingy stuff top of the photo. That was after chewing it for 2 minutes now being able to swallow it). The shrimp is a homogenous, overcooked and tasteless mush with no texture whatsoever. My brother said his Lo Mein tastes funny. That's all I have. They should be embarrassed by this food. Terrible.The only positive is the crab Rangoon seemed fresh and tasty. So I paid $25 to get $4.40 worth of edible food.Disgusting #BewareOfKens

They charged me delivery fees for 2 separate orders going to the same place. So 10.50 for a delivery fee.

A very rundown, dilapidated building and restaurant. When I came in, there were two children playing on the floor, while being watched by their elders as they were prepping food at one of the tables, no other customers were dining. There must've been two or three takeout orders, though during the time I was there waiting for my food to be cooked.They have pictures on the wall of their food so you have an idea what to order. The menu is fairly extensive and lunch specials that are reasonably priced. I suppose everybody has their opinion about Chinese food and I was craving some good flavors. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the taste of the food. It was sloppily put in the container and everything tasted the same. Blah.

This was our first time ordering from Ken's since moving to the Fairmont area. We were very impressed overall. This is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Fairmont. Ordered for pickup, food was ready within the time frame given. The orange chicken was phenomenal, the white rice was very fresh and moist. The egg rolls and the cheese wontons were the highlights for me, both get a 10/10. My husband got the roast pork lo mein and he said it was good (he's particular about his Chinese food). So a "good" is a high rating coming from him! My only negative was the hot and sour soup, it was okay, not the best I've ever had.

We've been ordering from here for years. Just got an order tonight and the bill seemed unusually high. Come to find there now a $4 gas charge for delivery. We live 2 minutes away and I'm sure they aren't giving this money to the driver per delivery. Nothing on their menus indicating a charge like this either. I called and ask and I'm told that's how it is and when I said I'll never order again they say ok that's fine. Great customer service and care for the community. The food is meh but for the area it's close and one of the only choices. Even with that I'll never order here again and I hope many follow suit when they see this charge on their next order. A two minute drive is not $4 in gas. Go to hell kens. Hey you know if you pay the driver $4 an hour you can take that from the $50 it costs to order dinner for two with a soup and rangoons. Sorry but no you'll never get another dime of my money. I don't see you taking money off my bill to pick it up either. On top of it all you didn't give two damns when I called in but now that it's print suddenly you want to talk and get me back? In your own words that's fine bye bye.
