Kelley's Dari Delite

After having dinner nearby on a hot, muggy night, we decided to pop into this cute, old-fashioned ice cream stand. But the various menus taped across the front of this tiny place were a bit confusing. The swirl options are clear and dipped ice cream, by the flavors of soft serve were less clear. But the woman waiting to take out order was in no mood to offer assistance. Her impatience showed all over her face and in her clipped tone as she pushed us to order faster. I ended up with peanut butter soft serve on a cone, and it rather strangely lacked in flavor. My sister in law had toasted coconut - which she thought was pretty good. Husband got butter pecan on a cone and said it was ok. We might go back if we're in that area, but there are many more options I'd make an effort to get to before this place. No pics- sorry!

I stopped by Kelley's Dari Delite on a beautiful summer day in the middle of the afternoon and walked right up to the window. The reason why there isn't usually a line, unlike so many other ice cream shops in the middle of the summer, is that Dari Delite is an average shop with nothing that sets itself apart from the crowd.I bought a 16 oz. Coconut Samoa Arctic Swirl, which was about $4 plus tax. Their vanilla soft serve is OK; it's not close to the level of something like Page Dairy Mart (I'd even peg it a notch below Dairy Queen). Unfortunately, the toppings in the Arctic Swirl weren't blended properly. There was a smattering of small pieces in the top half of the cup. As I made it to the bottom of the cup, there were more pieces of chocolate and cookie than ice cream. I'm not sure if the uneven distribution of toppings was on the worker at the shop or on their machine, but having this strange Arctic Swirl certainly made me appreciate quality swirls I've had elsewhere much more.Beyond Arctic Swirls, they have cones, sundaes, milkshakes, and hard ice cream, and they do take Visa/Mastercard. The young lady at the window was friendly and efficient, and there is plenty of parking.If you're in the neighborhood and in the mood for ice cream as a reasonable price, it does the job. If you're in the mood for spectacular ice cream, you will be better served elsewhere.

Good! Cheap! Fast! They serve Perry's ice cream. Not my favorite but it's close and cheap!

Love this place! It's a small, unassuming joint in a nook of the South Hills where there isn't much going on (it's getting better, but it's a process) HUGE menu, less busy/stressful than a place like Page's Dairy Mart.We love to go for the Girl Scout cookie Arctic Swirls and the lil treats for pup.

We drive by this place all the time and I have always wanted to stop by. It is your old fashion ice cream stand. They have a million flavors of both soft serve and regular ice cream with inexpensive prices (pumpkin flavors are now in). On my last stop I got the brownie sundae which was very tasty. It comes with a brownie topped with vanilla soft serve, hot fudge, whipped cream (optional), finished off with brownie crumbs. Kelley's also has a great kids menu including dirt sundaes and baby ice cream cones. There is a nice outdoor seating area so make sure to bring the whole family!

We loved the multiple soft serve flavor offerings. I had a large twist and it was fabulous. She had a sundae and loved it. The prices were very reasonable for The quantity they gave us. The employee was very courteous and took pride in his job. Give this place a try, it's worth it.

Pretty decent ice cream, but nowhere near the level of Pages or some of the other top ice cream spots in Pittsburgh. My biggest complaint here is the arctic swirls they serve, which are their version of a blizzard. I have had a lot of the options including cookie dough, brownie batter, Tagalongs, and more. Each time however there is almost no candy pieces and it is almost all vanilla ice cream.

We love getting ice cream here! They have a lot of different flavors and their milkshakes are always thick and creamy. They have both hard and soft serve ice cream, so something for whatever your mood is! I do agree they could use more filling in their article swirls, but I still enjoy them. They have a few benches to sit down to enjoy your ice cream which we love to do with our dog while she chows down on her doggy cup!They accept cash and cards :)

Went out for a late night treat. Two of the workers there were standing in front where you order smoking which was annoying. If you smoke that's fine but you don't have to do it in the front of the store less than 3 feet away from customers in line. I got a shake and a cone. They were out of a ton of flavors. The serving size didn't match the price compared to other areas.

Big menu, very reasonable prices, quick service! When we arrived, one of the employees told us we were "really taking it down to the wire" - it was 8:52pm. I thought they closed at 10pm because of their Yelp info but they informed me that they never filled out a yelp page and they are open from 12-9 everyday.
