We've tried to visit here several years ago. When I came inside the lights were off and nobody insight.Today we decided to call first and then visit. We arrived and Christian the owners son had introduced himself. He had explained about the restrictions around COVID that they are only doing samples and bottle purchased. He said this was his parents guidelines. That's fine that they do not want to take a risk, but every one else is doing so. Anyhow he said they've been opened for 11 years. He said it's still a hobby for his dad who is a MD Surgeon. Okay the wine; 5 samples and they had a bunch that were sold out. They make all of the wine in stainless. They do add sticks of different wood flavors for some red wines. All of the wine grapes from Lake Erie. All of the wines that I tasted were good. The dry wines, I tasted sugar in them as if he adds extra sugar to the wines. Christian went through all of the wines, tastes, how to taste and why really well. We will return, this guy can do some comedy as well. :)

My boyfriend and I were looking for something relaxing to do around the area this Sunday. I stumbled across this winery through a Google search and am so glad I did! When we entered the winery, we were greeted by Michael Kavic (owner). He asked if this was our first visit, and when we told him it was, we were invited to sit down for a wine tasting. The wine tasting was amazing! He first gave us a flight of white wine (6) and told us about each one. In addition to the wine, he provided us with cheese and crackers. The whites were tastefully crafted and absolutely devine. After we finished with the whites, he brought us the red flight. We were able to try 4 of the 6 red varieties because they were out of the other 2. Michael Stephen was so friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. After trying the wines, his wife gave us forms in case we wanted to order anything. We ordered a bottle of white and a bottle of blush wine to take home with us. Michael's wife, Patricia, gave us some great Pennsylvania wine resources upon checkout. Lovely experience at Kavic Winery. We can't wait to return!

Fresh new winery... But don't let that keep you away! They have good, quality wines. My personal fave of theirs, the Traminette, even won a medal in an International competition.Though the wines could sell themselves, it was not the wines that left us with a huge smile when we left. Michael and Patricia, the owners, provided such amazing, informative, educational service and presentation that if the wine doesn't warm you up, they sure will.In short: Go. Experience Kavic Winery yourself, It is totally worth it.

This place was amazing! My bf and I stopped in during our visit to pittsburgh, we always try to fit in a winery on our road trips, and I must say this was the best one yet. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the family that owns this winery greeted us so warmly when we arrived, and never stopped making us feel at home. Christian, the son of the owner, was super talkative and attentive, telling us everything we needed to know about the wine we tasted and more! He told us repeatedly that they "do things a bit differently here" and he was right- they treat you like long lost family and valuable guests. And, the wine was great! I would come here again and again if I loved closer, and it gives me a great reason to go back. You must come here!

Wine was great. The Lafayette and Luccia were both unique and tasty. Bring those to a party and you'll get some compliments. On top of that, the owners are very friendly and pepper you with facts about wine. Ex. I always thought people swirled their wine to be pretentious. Turns out there is a semi-scientific reason behind it...go and find out why and be proven wrong like me!

Worth the try! After driving past a thousand times, my boyfriend and I finally decided to stop in. They gave us samples of all the wines in stock and had a story to go with all of them. The atmosphere was super welcoming and homey and the wines were awesome! I would recommend trying all of them (even if you're like me and usually hate reds) because they were all so different from what I'm used to. They also had snacks, which is always a bonus. Definitely worth the stop! Wines were reasonably priced and delicious, so we'll definitely be stopping back to stock up.

This place is a hidden gem of the Carnegie area. My family & I discovered it one Saturday afternoon while looking for something to do together. To our delight & surprise this has been the best experience at a winery that we have had thus far. The wines are delicious. The presentation is very unique & informative. Much more then the usually wine tastings. They make it an experience. The family that owns & runs the winery are very hospitable & they want you to make sure you find the right wines to your liking. I definately recommend checking this place out. Check the company website for available hours being that they are only open on the weekends. Do not rely on other sites to tell you their hours go to the source itself their website.

Heard about this place from a friend and gave it a try. Their wines are fantastic. The owners are very humble. Christian the owners son was very patient and explained to us in detail about every single wine we sampled. It's a hidden treasure.
